Alina Zagitova

Akitas are no joke; despite their fluffy appearance, they are strong and difficult dogs that require serious training. Glad that Alina hired a professional trainer, it must have been very difficult for her and her grandmother, having in mind how busy Alina is. But in the end she might have a great friend and a loyal bodyguard :-)

It seems that fans from Japan can be quite cunning - distracting Alina with dogs, shows, TV, commercials, while they got their Rika ready! Smart move :-)
(I hope it is obvious that this is a joke and no offense is meant. I really admire Japan and its fs fans, they are the best)

IIRC, the Akita Society's local branch in Russia has been available with help and advice regarding Masaru.

I think taking Masaru to WTT would be great. It‘s generally a very fun competition and to think of Masaru welcoming Alina in the K&C with a bark of “well done!“ after a successful skate... :cheer: Worlds... not such a good idea. Dogs require attention after all and I‘m sure Alina wants to have her eyes and concentration 100% set on the competition and the title this year. Even if it‘s in Japan.. I fear it would be too stressful for her. But WTT would be perfect.

I think Rika is maybe Japanese, and she is Alina's biggest rival, BUT if Alina'll won, they will be happy for her, even if their unbeatable 3A girl will be beaten. It seems to me that Japanese are loyal, clever and good fans, they love good figure skating in the first place. Hope she will win and they don't prove me wrong! :)

Alina is definitely fighting against the 3A and Rika's 3A. ((:
Really proud of her! I hope they take it slowly and steadily improve to let her jump on her own. Wow, Alina doing a quaaaad! <3

YASS our girl is doing quads! Let’s hope she maintains her health so that we might see quads next season

I've mentioned before that I know very little about figure skating in general but I do know enough to understand that a quad is something very, very good :yahoo:

I am speechless yet again, at Alina's dedication. Alina is the OGM the world has never seen before, instead of taking season off/slowing down/retiring she continues to find ways to improve.

Alinka definitely not DONE

She’s the queen and she proves it every day
So proud of her

is she healthy now? doesnt make sense trying a hard jump unless she is healthy. And those pics were from a couple of days ago
I think it's a good sign that she feels good now. And it's mean that her burn wasn't too deep like we were afraid.

Wow! That's the first quad we've seen by Alina! Amazing! :luv17: I hope she (and her team) will take care of her(self) though...
Even if it’s not clean, seeing her doing a quad is a delight. I hope she takes it easy. She also needs to rest because I want to see her in great shape for Europeans and Worlds.

I was looking elsewhere on the Internet, and it seems that Alina can't even do a practice quad without people screaming that she is injured and done :(
I think moriel predicted this

Her team has a good track record with jumps so far, they have successfully trained multiple girls to jump quads. In Eteri we trust.
