Alina Zagitova

We are all crazy people :-) My husband was shocked to see me trying to buy a new mattress for the dog, the one that Masaru has.. Never been susceptible to advertising, but Alina is rather special :-)

Yes!

it's odd that Alina's dog has a better mattress to sleep on than she does. ;)

Do we know if Alina will be skating at the Russian Cup Final? I can't find any information on that... :scratch2:

The participants list hasn't been announced yet, but I am going to say no.

Alina is already confirmed for Worlds.
If they were going to add her to the Cup, Rusfed would have announced it already.

Finally, not aimed at you, but the only people I've heard spreading rumors that Alina will skate in the Cup Final are anti-fans. :rofl2:

I was asked about the Russian Cup Final regarding Alina by somebody who knows I'm a big fan and I couldn't answer, that's why I thought I'd seek help here... I didn't know anti-fans were spreading rumours about that... Anyway, thanks for the answer!

Wait to see the expression on his face when hubby comes downstairs one night and finds you curled up on the dog's comfy mattress, deep in dreamful sleep

Another little interview with Alina from the Puma event

https://www.rt.com/sport/450843-alina-zagitova-japan-world-championship/

“My biggest rival is myself because every time entering a competition I’m overwhelmed with anxiety and excitement. And I need to battle these emotions to deliver clean skating. That’s why I am my biggest opponent,” Zagitova told RT.

Alina is such a level headed girl, I admire her so much for being like this.

It became more fun to train

Our girl is always working, determined and focused.

Her physical shape was perfect, from the beginning of the season until now. Even if she's struggling with the Osgood-Schlatter Disease, Alina and her team are so careful and thorough in her physical trainings! (the japanese documentary also showed a part from her work-out) And such a great physical shape can not be achieved, nor sustained if you don't have 110% motivation and Alina excels at this, too.

it's about toys on ice from fans - Alina was first of their students who was gifted with huge number of toys (this part of video about Anna is related with the pic )

I wonder what Sambo-70 does with their huge plushie collection besides take pictures with them.
Alina's big bears are the profile of the Team Tutberidze IG page

Is Alina more of a cat person or a dog person?
Different strokes for different folks obviously

I would say Alina is a cat person because shes had her cat much longer than her dog. But she would probably say she's both a cat person and a dog person. No way she would want to insult the Japanese who gifted her the legendary Masaru. ;)

I wonder what the top Japanese lady skaters think of a foreigner in Alina being so loved in their own country. Hmmm. I hope Alina is ready for their best at worlds.

That’s something I really admire about the Japanese skaters, they are super kind and inclusive to all foreigners skating at Ice show’s in their country.

We have countless photos of Alina in Rika’s instagram, also in Marin’s and Mai’s, pictures with Kaori, and other skaters too (Oda comes to mind).

They have by far the biggest international market for Figure Skating entertainment events, shows are packed there, so I admire how the local talent has fun and embraces all foreigners invited to perform, they know how to be gracious hosts.
