And now time to become emotional again, seeing how much did Alina change in just one year. Time flies, right?

I’m so proud of Alina. I actually screamed after her FS. I honestly admire this girl so much. This whole situation reminded me so much of the olympics, and in my opinion, it was harder for her. She entered the Olympics with not as much expectation on her and won (of course)
But here in Saitama, she had the expectation of the world on her and she persevered, showing us two gorgeous programs. I think what Daniil intended with these programs was finally realised.

And I just want to give a huge hug to this group. I’ve been watching all year but recently started contributing. Alina has the best fans in the world.

What did Zhenya say to Alina? I cant read Russian lips.

Some of us were concerned that Zhenya being on the team might concern Alina or affect her in some way. But Alina was not bothered by Zhenyas presence at all. If anything it motivated her.

After rusnats and eurp LP issues I am so glad Alina put those performances behind her and proved she is the best in the world 2 years in a row. Very hard to do the year after winning olympic gold.

Dear friends, I want to thank you, all of you!
It's not only Alinochka, who made me happy, but all of you.
When I am at this fanfest, I am at ease, I fell warm and happy. Because all people, who post there, be it guest or regular, are so kind, tenderhearted and supportive! We all know, it was a very difficult year. Not for Alina only, but for us, her fans, as well. And here was the place I could find a peace.
I really don't know, if I be able to thank you enough, but THANK YOU anyway.

I love this girl to death, she seriously has proved to everybody that she has it all!
It‘s quite funny to see those hat*ers like Bestemyanova, Slyutskaya, Tat,.. suddenly be all about her and praising her.

But I have a question guys and I can‘t even think about it without getting depressed:

I don‘t want to speculate or anything and of course I would respect every decision Alina would make. But do you guys think she will continue?
It‘s such a tough sport, I can‘t even imagine what’s he has been going through in the last two years but we have 3 years till Beijing and in the skating world it seems like eternity. Don‘t even to mention the juniors to come. Right now she is on the top above them all, I can‘t deal with the thought of it..

"Phenomenal .. What character she has. We've knew the talent, now we know she is trully the full package." Eurosport guys was really out of words from her. They are always an amazing comentators but they are not every time that amazed. They said a lot good about her. They was sure she won before the technical panel decide and scores come out. As Reine del Hielo said, they was that dazzled that they made her American and said Olympics instead of Nationals. Olympic wasn't even this year guys ... Yeah. She needs to rest.

She said at the press conference she plans to continue skating. She didn't specifically say 'competitive' skating but proving everyone wrong, and beating the best senior ladies skaters in the world by a significant margin is probably pretty enjoyable! :dev3:

it was such a great way to wake up to alinas win!!! i rewatched it so many times i was almost late for class lol. and it made up for my other fav kaori popping her way out of a world medal

her step sequence was on fire today and even tho technically it wasn't a perfect skate i think alina is super happy with herself which is what's important

I'm sure she will try to increase her tech content now that the growth spurt is over and she is used to her new body. As long as she can stay healthy and avoid over-use injuries like Zhenya's foot fracture and whatever it is she might have going on with her hip. (Thinking of Tara Lipinski.) Hopefully, her team knows to watch out for that kind of thing now!

I'm with you on hoping we see it one more time in the team event, but I want new routines for Alina next season! I loved these but it is time for the next version of Alina to emerge.

What a beautiful gift Alina has given us to end the rollercoaster ride that was this season a true happy fairytale ending!
I'm so proud of her and happy to be her fan. She is a true fighter and I'm inspired by her everyday.
Lucky for us, we still have the Survivor gala left and it will be
I wish Alina all the joy and success in the world for the coming seasons. And if she wants I'm sure she can even win Olympic gold again in 2022!! As she has showed us over and over again that the sky is the limit

Carmen is so good..

Honestly, I would like her skating to some modern music.

She could do great with empowerement songs... like Christina Aquilera's "Fighter" or maybe even some Lady Gaga song about dancing... something that modern young girl could relate to.
