She was amazingly good at acting out the clumsy, stumbling beginner on ice in the Madoka Magica TV Show...

I wonder where she’s vacationing. Looks pretty tropical. Hopefully it’s not Miami.

I thought she said she was going to be vacationing in Okinawa but maybe she and her family went back to the Dominican Republic?

Yes, it is the Dominican Republic.

Maybe Okinawa will be just her (maybe her Mom?) during some down time in between Japanese Ice Shows. She'll do FOI, then DOI and finally The Ice. Between FOI and DOI she'll have a 12 day break that maybe is not long enough to go all the way back to Russia but still long enough to go somewhere fun in Japan.

The break between DOI and The Ice is much longer (19 days) so between those I think she will go back to Russia.

I think 12 days is enough time to go back to Russia, even to choreograph a program ;). I'm not sure if Eteri even permits two vacations hahahaha. But in all seriousness, I hope she isn't overworked this summer trying to fit in training and choreographing new programs in between all of these ice shows. Good thing she's enjoying some vacation time now! Although I wouldn't mind new music being announced or even a program being debuted at DOI or any of the other shows :)

Yes, that rating doesn't mean much. Kolyada is in front of Hanyu and he didn't won anything significant lately.

It means a lot, official confirmation Alina is a number 1 skater. Just because you disagree with its rating system doesnt mean it's not important to the public or ISU. Last year Kolyada got bronze on both Worlds and EC, this year he won 2 international competitions and also got points from GP. Season rating is a different thing but you cant not compete at some big events and be in the overall top 3 imo

No way she will get another break from training, otherwise as a fan i'd be very worried for her lol it's always 2 weeks in may for ET team, thats it, she cant stay more without intense training (she still keeps casual training in a gym even on vacation) especially during body growth. Last year it was may 15th till june, this year Alina has shows in may starting 24th, probably that's why her plans have changed.

I read that Alina will talking about her Great Grandfather in the interview.

It's probably granddad of her fater, I remember the video from the last year where Ilnaz Zagitov talked about his granddad fighting during WWII (or Great patriotic war for Russians), where he was wounded.
So this is the event where those Alina's pictures were taken.

Random IG speculation about Alina's vacation spot - someone said the hotel is in Corfu, someone else said Acapulco, someone else said Tunisia. All very exciting destinations! :) I think they changed it up this year from the Dominican Republic.

I can only imagine what Google translate has done to this. If any Russian speakers would like to offer a better translation you have my eternal gratitude :)

"Aleksey Zheleznyakov in an interview with the FE: “Alina was not distinguished by any unrealistic data. It was clear that the girl was chiseled, beautiful, but did not pin any special hopes on her. In itself, she was shy, perhaps it just prevented her she behaved modestly and gained gradually, and then the girl was replaced as if something clicked in her. She began to take classes more seriously and consciously. From this point on, progress started, and her talents began to unfold. She remained modest in life, but in sports it has become a more brazen one. We try to to take images according to the texture and state of mind. In her case, it’s impossible to distinguish something, because at the expense of data and talent she grabs everything, but most of all she has a kind of “soft, soft modernist style”, because by nature she is such a kitty. staging "Alina Tigress"). While not enough experience, immersion in the image affected the technique. The transformation into a black aggressive swan knocked her out of the rut, and this was reflected in the elements. Then she got used to it, stood on the pedestals of serious international competitions, female confidence came, and the internal state changed. From this point on, immersion in the image ceased to interfere with the technique."

idk if it's better lol but i tried
"Alina didnt have any special talents from the get go. Everyone could see she had a good (fit) body and was beautiful, but no one set any big hopes on her in skating. She is a shy person in general, probably that made it harder for her, she used to keep a low profile and her skills were improving gradually slowly, then very suddenly she'd changed completely. (he probably meant time after ET kicked Alina out of the group) She began to take classes more seriously and put more thought into training process. From this point on, there was a noticeble progress, and her talents began to unfold. She is still humble/shy in real life, but she's become more assertive/competitive in sports. We try to choose images according to the skater's personality ('soul'). In her case, it’s impossible to choose just one thing, because of her talent and physical abilities, she can do anything, but what suits her best is kind of “graceful cat-like modern dance”, because by nature she is basically a kitty cat. (her ex "priestess of fire" - Alina being a tigress).
When Alina didnt have enough experience, 'acting' part of skating was affecting the technique of her jumps etc. The transformation into a black aggressive swan was too much for her to handle emotionally, and this was reflected in the elements. Then she got used to it, won some big international competitions, found her "feminine"confidence and her mental state's changed. From this point on, getting into the 'character' stopped messing with the jumps technique."

btw it's an old interview ...or he repeated himself. I kind of agree but mostly disagree with him, struggling with getting into a character being THE reason of Alina's bad jumps on olympic year and her getting over that after 'winning some'. Alina had a terrific and very difficult StSq with fast music and her head was all messed up after that, legs were tired, her transitions were very hard especially to 2A, it was a NEW program, very very difficult to help Alina grow (Lipnitskaya's mentioned it a lot) and Alina used to be always nervous doing any SP since its the first day and she wasnt mentally all in yet. I noticed Alina messes up programs she relates to the most - Black swan and Carmen, she is probably getting emotional and has no time to switch back since her programs are overloaded with transitions and have no air to breath and enjoy elements.

That's what a lot have been saying about her programs. Her scores are unlikely to suffer if they would just get rid of 25% the clutter and her programs would be more enjoyable, for viewers and for her too!

I enjoy her programs and I am sure that there are millions of "viewers" who feel likewise.
And I honestly have no idea how much Alina "enjoys" her programs because I'm not a mind reader.
I'm sure she enjoyed the results these programs have gotten her.

To be honest, I don't know why you felt the need to post this in her fanfest.
I can only guess.
If you had just expressed concern that her programs are very difficult because of all the transitions, that's one thing.
But when you make statements like "clutter" and "more enjoyable for viewers", it doesn't sound very "fan-like" to me.
