Alina Zagitova

Welcome to the fan fest!

Alina got extensions. I call it her quad starter kit [emoji846]

“That's why her hair is so big. It's full of (Quad) secrets.”

Okay but real talk it does make me wonder if having long hair ala Trusova is what gives the quad girls their in-air momentum. Like from a purely physics perspective, it certainly ought to change one's center of gravity

She is ready to fight next season, her shape in the mid season proves so, she was obviously training a lot during vacay, her jumps are still great, she is spinning faster imo. Hope they won’t make same mistake as last year with overtraining in the first half of the season, she needs to pick her battles wisely.

Rather than spinning faster, I feel like she jumps more with her legs now? From last year till now they've certainly improved a lot. Personally just by eyeballing her height is alright and her distance is good, not the best or the most powerful, but looking back on old videos, she used to pull into the rotation with her upper body a lot more to get the rotation. She doesn't seem to need to do that now, and her legs seem to do a lot more of the jumping. I do feel like she's a lot lighter with her jumps in general now, a lot more effortless on the takeoff, a lot less force on the landing. It looks easy, less muscled so to speak. There's a sense of control to her jumps, and you really get the feel that she has a lot more excess in terms of jumps. Like, watching this jump felt like she was doing a 2Lz rather than a 3Lz? That's how much excess I feel she has right now.

I noticed it similarly in Worlds this year, but it looked more tentative there than they do here (probably because she was nervous), and the effect is much more pronounced here as a result. Certainly whether or not she's landed a quad, the practice and work with her jumps in the offseason from Euros to Worlds certainly looks to have paid off well.

I totally agree. Her jumps are lighter and more effortless. I believe if she trains for quads properly, she will be able to master them but I don't want to jump the gun and think that just because she can, she will.

Im a huge pessimist but im sure she will, idk if they are gonna risk it this season tho, also you never know with injures. She is falling off triples sometimes and it’s dangerous not to mention learning new jump (just saw Japanese show she was AMAZING new carmen btw, absolutely different, her first lutz was superb but spoiler..not last). I kinda wanna kill Daniil for movements she does on a chair ....hoping its not gonna be a tendency

I think the chairography is a one time thing. I like when she kicks it!

Basic instinct - spot on:) That was a little risky, trying to convey sexuality that way and it was a bit of a put off for me, too. Hope her programs next season won't be over-sexualized.
I hope that too but tbh mostly it was the straight angle or close up shot that kinda ruined it for me, shot from the side (like we saw before) or with a wide shot it d ve been more than fine, Alina can pull anything off.
