Zagitova is the current Olympic Champion in singles. She was also silver medalist at the Olympic Team event, the 2018 European Champion, the 2018 Russian Nationals champion and the 2017-18 Grand Prix Final champion, all in her first season as a senior. Alina was the junior ladies champion at 2016-2017 Junior Grand Prix Final, where she became the first junior lady to earn a total score above the 200 mark, (207.43 points).

Her gold medal at the 2019 WC is not mentioned somehow.

Alina wanted to show more emotions and be more theatrical in this exho and she was. I was not expecting a world's LP performance here. In this exho it was important for her to have fun and emote and she did. But when Eteris camp starts it will be back to basics for Alina. No worries.

I hope they come up with another Ex or FS programme that would be both fun to perform for Alina and show her abilities in full; and since the team started with the classics (Rimsky-Korsakov, Minkus, Shchedrin), maybe they could go with another classic, Wagner's Ritt der Walküren -

Basic instinct - spot on That was a little risky, trying to convey sexuality that way and it was a bit of a put off for me, too. Hope her programs next season won't be over-sexualized.

I agree with your assessment. Her programs won't be too risque. It's not her nature.

That was wonderful to read Because I consider Yelena the greatest female russian athlete of all time. Such a shame after she had her baby a few years ago that you couldn't compete in the last summer games even though she never tested positive for any PED. Knowing how much she likes Alina must make it Alina feel good.

Sorry that I haven't been around for a while - I was quite busy and so was my friend, who nevertheless has found time to make this beautiful fan art on his iPad (he said he used the Apple pencil as well). It took him ca. 2 weeks and many, many layers and nerves And what impresses me even more is the fact that he has never done such fan arts before!
