Alina Zagitova

Just wow! So much emotion and involvement, it touched my heart and left me teary eyed.:luv17:

All the technical elements were flawless, perfectly centered spins, amazing 3Lz+3Lo combo, crazy-difficult Charlotte transitition into 3F, and great 2A. But it was not only about this, but about the entire performance. My congratulations to Daniil, who managed to coreograph such a beautiful program for Alina. The step sequence, the spirals, her face expression, they left me so impressed.

And also, Alina was so relaxed, so confident and calm. She is an European, World and Olympic champion and really skated like one. And did not seem bothered by the pressure one single bit. Huge improvement in this regard, and from now only the sky is the limit.

Well done, Alina! Finally skating her soul out. No nerves, no insecurities. Just brilliant. I don't know if it was the camera angles but I liked this performance a lot better than the one in Japan

I totally agree with you. And I just noticed your avatar, it is beautiful!

Alina, it was great, thank you! :)
Such a confident and heartfelt performance from Alina. And TES stuff goes without saying.

Can't wait to see this programme in person, with a dress and all.

Good light, camera operators, audience, atmosphere. Alina was really lit today and fully exposed her program for evaluation and admiration.

Alina skated with so much emotion and soul! Every move was meaningful, beautiful and told a story.
The ending was so beautiful as well :luv17:
It's just a test skate performance, but she put on a whole show! :)
Get those PCS baby boss! What a queen!
She said she would focus on her performance this season and she delivered :hap85:

Saw this on FSO. Here is an interview:

https://tass.ru

"There were a lot of spectators, they supported us very warmly, let's see what will happen tomorrow. For me, this rental as a competition is no less important, I need to show clean programs. Now I’m preparing calmly, I’m almost not nervous, although there is a jerk, adrenaline, but thanks to this it’s even easier to jump."

"The program is very dear to me, I put my whole soul. It is completely done, but maybe we will change something during the season."

Alina's SP was wonderful. That 3Lz+3Lo looks better than ever! She was so confident on ice! I hope we see this strong and self-confident Alina throughout the whole season!

I think she just had more time to practice by now. So the program looks a lot smoother than in Japan imo.

Also sometime during shows ring size is different and quality of ice suck. :) And she is always growing in her programs, can't wait to see it again. Anyone know where she will start?

Another interesting interview -

Who motivates you in figure skating?

- I have a small circle of friends - my coaches, relatives, family, these people really inspire. They give important parting words to which I listen. Of course, the choreographer Lyudmila Shalashova (mother of Daniil Gleichengauz, a member of the Eteri Tutberidze team - Sports.ru), who recently passed away, had a great influence on me. This is an irreparable loss. She is a very wise person who transmitted not only ballet knowledge, but also life experience. She helped me get used to the programs Don Quixote, Carmen, Phantom of the Opera and The Black Swan. Thanks a lot to her.

- How many days before the start do you disconnect from social networks and the Internet?

- Hmm, always in different ways - for a few days or for a week. Now I have developed some immunity to negative comments or headlines. I control myself.

- You said that you would like to act in films after sports. Which director?

- I would like to try a movie, this is definitely an interesting experience. It all depends on the idea, not on the director. Honestly, until I seriously thought about it, I go in for sports.

- But you see yourself - conditionally - in the same role of Lara Croft?

- Maybe yes.

- Do you often review programs at competitions?

- If I performed well, then I look about five times. If it’s bad, then I don’t look at all. I have not watched a single bad start. I do not want.

- Favorite country after Russia and Japan?

- It’s difficult ... I haven’t been everywhere: for example, I didn’t go to America, but I really want to fly there (Zagitova was only in Canada - Sports.ru).

- The most unusual food you allow yourself? Mirai Nagasu, for example, drinks celery juice in the morning .

“I need a piece of chocolate.” It is in the morning.

- Messi or Ronaldo?

- Complex issue. Probably both.

- Sneakers or Louboutins?

- I feel comfortable in a sporty style. Therefore, of course - sneakers!

- Books or the Internet?

- The Internet. You can also read books there.

- Mathematics or Russian?

- Maths. I like to calculate more. But I study at a basic level, training takes a lot of time, so the Sambo-70 school helps me a lot.

- If you haven’t done your homework at school, will you skip the lesson or honestly admit?

- I’ll go to training.

- Make a tattoo or dye your hair blonde?

- Neither one nor the other. While not ready for such experiments.

- Who shakes hands stronger - Putin or Abe?

- Vladimir Putin.

- The best vacation: movies, restaurants, a house or a walk with friends?

- Definitely - a walk in the park with his family. And, of course, when Masaru runs nearby. I love that.

- When was the last time I cooked?

- Salad. I even fed the grandmother with whom we live in Moscow.

Zagitova, of course, is the queen. Tomorrow a full stadium will come to it again. There will be no other opportunity to see Alina in Moscow: in her schedule, the Grand Prix stages in France (November 1-3) and Japan (November 22-24). And the championship of Russia - in the distant but cozy Krasnoyarsk.

Probably at Japan Open. I was hoping she will show herself at Nebelhorn like the last season but unfortunately not (it is anmystery that russian ladies are in full numbers at Nepela and Lombardia, but not a single one at Nebelhorn :) ).

Some time ago everyone wrote that Evgenia is on the list for Nebelhorn but she is not there now, but wasn't Alina the only Russian lady there last year too? I know she is at Japan Open but there is just a free so I was expecting she will go to some Challenger comp especially to show judges Me Voy before GP. It's pretty unusuall music I would guess they will present it first somewhere else. :shocked:Also all Russian ladies are sign to comp pre GP so I'm kind of surprised, maybe they will add her somewhere.

I have really fond memories of watching Nebelhorn last season and everyone (her fans) celebrating in this thread. :) All the other competitions were so fraught with tension. :drama: but I remember Nebelhorn as just exciting. She came out so strong! After Milan there were so many doubts and she answered them in that moment. I am nostalgic for Nebelhorn, but if Alina wants to wait to start her season, then so be it. :)

Now bring on Cleopatra!

Oh yes!! She kill it in Nebelhorn! It was a reason why I was still confident she will deliver Carmen in the end! :luv17:
