Alina Zagitova

Again, I am amazed at the depth the artistic team in Khrustalniy goes in providing challenging programs for each of their skaters, both collectively in setting trends and individually in bringing the best out of them. Is there any other rink with the same dedication to the total artistry of their charges?

Specifically about Alina, now she is not actively competing this season, will she keep her programs?

Me too. Every program is really tailor-suited for every skater, not simply "bespoke", and Daniil Gleichengauz tells it : they try to show the best of each skater, and to make them progress, program after program.

Will Alina Zagitova keep the same next year? They are so beautiful that it would be a waste if she didn't; yet she may have matured and her coaches will want to accompany, and to push this progression.

It may decide on when she decides if she wants to compete next year. Since she is going to the Olympics as an invited guest, she may not have time to prepare completely new programs unless she knows long in advance that she wants to compete again next year.

Came across this by Google suggestion: Italy's Vogue magazine being appreciative of Alina: https://www.vogue.it/news/article/grand-prix-torino-2019-news-pattinaggio-alina-zagitova#

Milan, not too far from Turin, is major fashion capital after all.

Having only seen some still photographs of Alina's Shiseido campaign, didn't know there was a video clip: https://youtu.be/s82DX83DQVM

And she looked all splendid as a 'business woman' in todays press conference with Tat'yana Navka.

That will be the last problem she will had if she wants to return next summer

Cute New Year story from a fan: Story of one autograph :)

Guys, a real New Year miracle happened to me. I can’t help but share this joy. ⠀

The other day, my husband saw Alina in the mall. He reacted with lightning speed: picked out a pair of Puma of my size in the store, found Alina (she had already waltzed off to another place) and asked her to sign the sneakers. ⠀

Alina approached the problem in her baby-boss style: ⠀
- What, right on the sneakers? Maybe better on the box? ⠀

She was assured that it was to be done on the sneakers ⠀

When they were solemnly handed over to me with a sly smile, I stared at first, then started laughing, then, of course, burst into tears. And then we joked a hundred times that I would go to bed with them))) ⠀

The funny thing is that the sneakers are cool. And they fit. But they, of course, are not to be worn. ⠀
They are to be kept in order for me to feel happy. ⠀
Alina, simply by her presence somewhere, is able to work miracles. ⠀

P.S. And I'm going to laminate the sneakers, I’m looking for a workshop. ⠀
P.P.S. And yes, I am lucky with such a husband ❤❤❤ "

:points: for the Husband! That was some quick and creative thinking on his part. Such a great story. Puma made an excellent choice to represent their brand.

If you check the comments under that post and/or any Russian FS forum that reposted that insta post, comments like "I want sneakers with Alina's autograph too!" and "I want a husband like that too!" go 50/50

And some posters suggest that Puma should make an ad based on this story, it would be quite successful, I think

Gotta say, I’m quite impressed at how well Alina manages her money. I’m sure her parents help her, but it’s also clear that they respect Alina’s choices, after all the present for Sabina was from Alina, not from the parents.
And although iPhone is an expensive present for a kid of Sabina‘s age, I’m pretty sure it’s not a significant amount for Alina‘s budget, which only demonstrates how wise beyond her years Alina is.
She herself kept an old phone, but bought a new one for her little sister.
At 17, if I was earning that much at that age, I’d probably be wasting all the money on cars, luxury goods, travels, silly things, and Alina seems to be quite reserved when it comes to spending money. She prioritized buying property, a very good investment. I‘m sure her parents help her to make the right choices, but the fact that at 17 she is smart enough to listen to her parents is quite impressive.

She doesn't seem to have overdecorated it either, as do some Moscovites. And it seems her mother and sister live there too?

Yes they do.

She also wears the same dresses multiple times to formal occasions. Nothing wrong with that at all, it just goes to show she isn't spending a lot on fancy clothes.

Yeah, there were rumors, when teamzagitova was making Alina a gifts, they've been asking Alina's mom what to get her. In response, she was told that Alina doesn't like expensive jewelry, doesn't wear expensive clothes.
