Because they want the fanbase to buy tickets to their show? We won't know whether Alina will participate or not until they announce it. They won't announce it until they know something concrete. The last thing they want to do is piss off Alina fans by misleading them.
I don't think Alina will commit to anything until she sees how her 'comeback' goes and how she feels about it. She may decide - 'this sucks. I hate it. I'm going to skate in the Navka show.' Cue announcement from Navka show.
She may decide - 'this sucks. I hate it. I'm sick of skating. I'm going to focus on modeling/acting/coaching/traveling.' Cue Navka show disappointment.
Or.....drum-roll please.....things may go great! Everything works out and she decides to focus solely on competition. Sorry Navka show, maybe another time.
Or....things are going so amazingly well that Alina decides - 'I will compete and do the Navka show!' Navka show rejoices! Eteri buys a new pair of Louboutins! (I'm kidding. Don't kill me.)
We won't know until we know. And that will be the time to stress about it. And knowing us, stress about it we will!
Anyway, Happy Leap Day!
