It's both he goes after them and he talked to Big what he can do for them financially and that they will be the one and only great female at his Academy.

I am so glad Alina did not go to him and his super materialistic wife. Plus their personalities don't match up at all. I wish all of these Russian girls well they are a joy and bring so much to the sport. And Plushenko will try for Anna and KV and Maya and other girls at TT and he may get one or two of them. Why? The money and sponsors. He has access to both and especially a lot of money.
Plushenko was my favorite male skater for many many years. But I don't really like the way he does business and spouts off all the time. Alina was classy with her nyet thank you to Yana and Evgeni. No surprise there. She is super loyal. And so much for TT being a bad place for girls. No one is more normal than Alina and Anna.

The reality is only Sasha can stop Plushenko from taking more of Eteris great girls by putting her foot down threatening to leave if he brings in any more top females. Eteri can not promise these girls the things that Plushenko can other than winning of course which should be first and foremost.

Alinas is mentality and evgeni's mentality are very very different. Thank God for that.

ah, I like that the post puts the record straight, instead of twisting everything. I am afraid we might go off-topic (of this thread), so very briefly but just one time :):
1. The first sentence, which is simple yet accurately characterized the whole chain of events.
2. the use of "pilferer" vs "thief". Yes, those actions/behaviours are low, sort of "small".
3. "EG never ever talks about any other group or team in a negative light." - this is "big", or "grand". Nowadays people are used to all those nonsense, but went mad immediately if Eteri team ever dares to say anything.
4. Last and most importantly, "Alina's mentality and xxx's mentality are very very different. Thank God for that".

I love most of Plushenko's programs, so classy and touching. But being a great coach needs much more experience and focus. Maybe he could become a good coach in the future, but right now he is literally 'stealing' people from other teams:ROFLMAO:
I believe Alina can choose the best for herself. Meanwhile, always remember to keep distance with drama queens and kings:devilish:

To be honest, I don't think Plushenko can bring more sponsors to anybody even though his wife has more business resources. If a company wants to corporate with a figure skater, Alina will always be the first choice at present. Then, maybe Zhanya, ET, Anna, Sasha and some other talented young ladies. As I know, Aliona has no business contract right now:scratch2: It's so cruel when talking about girls' business potential and actual business performance especially in Russia. Alina is the most successful female Russian skater now, but she could earn much more if she was a Japanese athlete. There are too many excellent young girls but little commercial resources :unsure:
However, it's true that, Eteri teaches too many talented girls at the same time. If the girls wanted more attention from coach, they should consider to transfer.
For Alina, it seems that she never needs extra attention or praise from other people. Maybe that's why she shows so much loyalty to her coaches. What she needs is only the best technique if she still trains normally like other Tutberidze girls (not just trying to keep in shape). If she decides to completely leave the rink in the near future, there's no need to change coach right now:ROFLMAO:
I believe Alina can handle everything with her parents' help. Look how happy she is in the video, this is the most important thing, she is happy and pleased with everything. :pray:

That's TeamTutberidze's and Plushenko's problems not Alina's, that's what I said. I couldn't do it more simple. Regarding Alina, I didn't like the she was dragged to this, which I consider very bad for her. For the other skaters and people you are referring to, thanks god they have FF, Russian ladies thread, coaching team threads plenty of places to go and discus it. Anyway I think I spent more words I wanted on this.
 
I'm sorry but I don't get all of this drama.
Having another team proposing to join them is a good thing not an offense: it's flattering and a confirmation of your talent.

Alina come from a bad season in which she even stopped competing after probably her worst result in a major international competition.
She was the perfect target for a "phone call" proposing a new training environment.
It's not stealing: it's offering a star skater a new option.
High level athletes like Alina are not "things": it's only good for them if they can choose theyr way between multiple viable options.
Alina staying with ET is good, even more so because she choosed to stay and work with Eteri.

Just imagine if she would not be happy anymore at Sambo but could not leave because there was no suitable alternative. That would be a drama.

Plushenko's school is in debts to their ears. He needs big names like Alina. I don't blame him (or Rudkovskaya) for wanting such a big name in his school that will attract other skaters, money etc, I blame him for stating I don't do such thing while doing it. And if Alina receives offers that are denied, than why not to publish them? She's not just passive object without her own will.

Alina refused politely end of story from her side. If Alina posted that on her Instagram would have had something to talk regarding Alina. Otherwise this is Eteri vs Plushenko laundry which I'm not interested at all specially in Alina's FF. I'm here about Alina and her skating.

I think it isn't really. And I don't mean to appear negative, and I'm sure you were coming from a positive place.
It isn't about Alina. It's about how Plushenko is building his team. How Tutberidze is salty that he's targeting mainly her students.
Alina's name should've been concealed, because in reality she has little to do with this whole thing.
