The ratings for Ice Age are getting better. From top 20 to top 15

What made Alina actually reconsider taking part? Being a host instead of a pro skater?
I remember to have made a posting in this thread where I explained to have read in the press, Alina herself (or her management) decided it was not worth her reputation (probably still before her announcement to take a break) to skate with singers and other celebrities in front of this judging panel?
The first episode had Alina still a little stiff and ill at ease I thought and I haven't watched it since. She'll probably be more at ease and more 'loose' now.
I thought her appearance in Urgant's late evening show was great, here she really showed her character and how witty and smart she has become in dealing with 'set-up, pass and score' situations that are common in these type of shows.

I always check average engagement of all the brands, just out of interest. Can tell, Alina seems to bring the most to her brands on social media.
Twinset seems to have ~10 or less comments per post, with Alina it’s 150.
Same thing for Puma, Shiseido, AirWeave, Aqua Minerale, Salmonica, Alina brings so much additional traction, even compared to A-listers, which advertise those brands.
No wonder all those brands want to work with her!

getting exposure as a host on Lednikoviy Period on prime TV probably boost her image and market value very much

Alina and her management should strive to keep her image as pure as the Aqua Minerale she advertises
which probably means Alina has to sit out many artificial scandals created around her by certain factions and media.

Nadezhda Durova: first female officer in the Russian army, ran away from home with a Cossack regiment in 1806 dressed as a man, hero of the war against Napoleon in 1812; was also a talented writer.
Lyudmila Pavlichenko: Legendary female sniper, hero of the battle for Sevastopol and the liberation of Odessa. After sustaining an injury, in the fall of 1942, as part of a delegation of Soviet youth, she was sent to the United States and Canada, where she participated in meetings with the public, journalists and politicians. “I am 25 years old, at the front I managed to destroy 309 fascist invaders. Don't you think, gentlemen, that you have been hiding behind my back for too long?” Pavlichenko said at one of these meetings.
Valentina Tereshkova: Soviet cosmonaut, the first woman in space. In June 1963, on the Vostok-6 spacecraft, Valentina Tereshkova flew 45 times around the Earth, spending 71 hours in space.
Alla Levushkina: Legendary surgeon, has carried out around 10,000 operations. Currently she is the oldest practicing surgeon in Russia. She is 92 years old and still carries out up to 100 operations a year. Levushkina retains complete clarity of thought and accuracy of hand work. Operates while sitting in a special chair.
Olga Korbut: One of the most famous gymnasts in the world, gained worldwide fame at the Olympic Games in Munich, which were held in 1972, where she performed a Korbut Flip, an element invented by her while having fun during training (and that as banned afterwards since nobody else apart from her could execute it).

I watched the video of their performance on YouTube. Given the level of sympathy I was expecting either a splatfest or a really big epic fall. Spoiler alert: Oksana Domnina basically tripped and fell on some footwork. They pulled off all of their big lifts and tricks. I learned something today - These people take Ice Age very, very seriously. Ilya Averbukh looked stricken. Oksana was fighting back tears
I don't remember her looking that upset when she didn't get gold at the Vancouver Olympics.Major respect to all of these people. Is there a competitive FS gene embedded somewhere in the Russian DNA? How do these performers look so good doing this in such a short time. (Some of them are better than others to be fair.) And the pros are just fearless and really talented. And there is a lot of creativity in the choreography.
I can't understand more than five words that anyone is saying but no one is giving the impression that they are just there for a paycheck. I wouldn't be watching if not for Alina and I don't know who anyone who is a not skater, but I'm impressed with all of their determination.
