Wow, I am surprised to see that reaction from you guys. I think that the situation here will be a little bit different than at/after the Olympics. If you think about it, Alina and Zhenya are the best choices because they are currently not competing but still are the stars of the Russian FS world. Also, they won't be skating against each other, only their teams and who wins will depend on the ratio of very strong skaters for each team and then on the condition of the competitors.

I seriously hope it will be just friendly event where everybody will be happy and enjoying. But the reality can be different from the ideals of young innocent and inexperienced man like meWow, I am surprised to see that reaction from you guys. Russian FS doesn't like friendly environment. Most Zagistans hope the whole event goes well and peacefully, but the reality definitely will upset us, even though Alina will always be a real polite girl and not ingratiate herself with media or fs elites.

It just seems like russian fs and channel one are all about the drama and rivalries lately and I don't think any of the fans of either Alina or Evgenia want to experience that kind of drama again.
Hopefully it will just be a fun, not super serious or intense thing and all the skaters and fans will be able to enjoy it.

Just to be clear from my side because it not clear to me to which posts you referring to.
I feel, I will not enjoy this event not because there is Alina vs Evgenia thing, that's nothing to me, there is not such thing. Neither because the event will not be fun. I myself explained, in a comment above, how this can be fun.
It will just remind me that Alina is a retired skater, and my fan organism didn't digest that yet.

Uhh, idk... I prefer Alina as is, and Anna as is. The mashup filter look "off".
