"My career in senior world figure skating began successfully and rapidly with a number of victories at the main starts of the season: victoryat the Grand Prix Final in 2017, gold
at the Russian Championship and a gold medal
at the European Championship. And just a month later (in February 2018) I managed to fulfill the dream of any athlete - to win the Olympic Games in Pyeongchang. And it seemed that the last step to conquering all existing world titles remained - the World Championship in March 2018
. I believed that I could do it. I tried my best, but took only 5th place, which was a huge challenge for me. I had to start all over again, set up and motivate myself, train with all my might - in general, devote all my time and thoughts to one goal. After a long and hard year of training, I returned to the World Championships in Japan in March 2019. To say that I was nervous before the start is an understatement
. Thanks to the incredible support of my team, family and fans, I managed to overcome all obstacles and become World Champion
. I remember the moment when I realized that now I have all the world titles in figure skating. It was like in a dream, and I realized that dreams come true
. Commitment to our goal, hard work and support from loved ones are what makes us true champions."
