Alina Zagitova

Alina is already legally an adult. She’s not a child anymore. Of course in the eyes of her family and partially in our eyes she’s still a kid, understandably she’s still really young.
Legally she’s been past the age of consent in Russia for several years, which is the age of 16. Past 16 y.o. any person in Russia can make their own life choices in terms of choosing their partners.

The way you’re putting it, it’s becoming a strange topic to discuss, I generally find your post a bit bizarre. She’s free to date whoever she wants, whichever age they are and whatever occupation they have. If it’s a hockey player, a chef, a model, a poet, who cares? It’s her life, she should follow her heart and be with whomever she wants to be with. She’s not breaking any laws and not engaging in any illegal activity by having relationships, neither is her alleged partner. Just let it be, and don’t pay too much attention to rumors on Twitter.

First of all, thanks for responding! You're totally right that Alina is free to date whoever she wants. Doesn't matter if it's a hockey player or whoever... I guess the news about sexual abuse and the rumours about Rozanov have made me wary although of course it's none of my business. Sometimes as fans we take the worry we feel for people to a level that's not appropriate (That's probably the big sister in me, so please bare with me ).

The age thing is the part that worried me (30 is "just" 11 years older but feels like a lifetime as people arena completely different stages of their life). But yeah, you're right. It's pointless to worry about things that aren't your business...

According to this comment on Valeria's most recent blog on Sports.ru Alina's entire family isn't taking a summer vacation this year due to Alina choosing to spend the summer training in Novogorsk. -

Alina decided to devote the whole summer to training? Now there was a broadcast with Sabina, she said that they would not go on vacation, because Alina has training in Novogorsk. The exams seem to be already passing, in short, Alina works like a bee.

I think this says a lot about how much Alina's family supports her and wants to be there for her every step of the way. They could easily board the dogs, or leave them with a family member in Izhevsk. and take a week long vacation somewhere nice while Alina is staying in Novogorsk. Whatever her goals may be for this season and whatever the outcome, her family will be there for her.

I see what you mean, but Rozanov rumored situation is different because he’s a coach, that would be an abuse of authority if those rumors had any truth to them.
If rumors with regards to Alina imply someone from her coaching staff, then it would indeed be worrisome. But if it’s a hockey player from another country, I personally don’t see anything inappropriate.

I want a photo of Shanti with the giant pink ball!
since we won't get it before the end of the training camp in Aug, here's the closest approximation:

Oh thank you. I’m not afraid of needles and I know it doesn’t hurt. I’m more scared about having side effects or allergy. Maybe I’ll take an antistaminique 30mn before the shot.
I'd say don't take anything before the shots. The nurse will ask you if you are allergic to anything and you can raise any concern with her/him. As for side effects, Finley has the best explanation, although I myself took two days off after each shot. :)
By the way, I got moderna.

Thanks @JazzUp for the translation one of the frustrations of being a fan of Russian figure skating (indeed of any foreign sports or media) are the fact especially for spoken dialog getting a translation is a pain. Text can be roughly translated in a pinch but for example YouTube auto-translate is a mess!

Alina really has an adorable family.

In honour of Pushkin's 222nd birthday, here's a poem about our hamster that he wrote

In a Beauty`s Album

All harmony, all wondrous fairness,
Aloof from passions and the world,
She rests with tranquil unawareness
In her triumphant beauty furled.

When, all about her, eyes hold muster,
Nor friends, nor rivals can be found,
Our other beauties' pallid round
Extinguished wholly by her luster.

And were you bound I know not where,
Be it to love's embraces bidden,
Or what choice vision you may bear
In heart's most private chamber hidden, —

Yet, meeting her, you will delay,
Struck by bemusement in mid-motion,
And pause in worshipful devotion
At beauty's sacred shrine to pray.

Ahh this just came to me. This film has already been released in Russia and Japan in cinemas and later (or already possibly) on streaming in those countries. Any idea when the rest of us will be able to watch it? I tried looking for it, not expecting much, on my Swiss Netflix account to no avail. Zero hope for Alina's full skating performance outside of Japan as well I presume.

Russian version is already available online, but it doesn't have any subtitles in any languages.
Japanese version, with Akita Inu story line and Alina's cameo had just been released in Japan and I doubt that the producers will make it available on dvd/online anytime soon, especially taking the record ticket pre-sales into account.

Knowing how law abiding the Japanese fs fans are usually, yes, no hope. But! we all will look to the almighty FreeSkater (who runs Alina Media For Fans YT channel) for our salvation, as usual :ROFLMAO:
