Alina Zagitova

from Jonathan's interview to MatchTV:
"- What are your impressions of the Channel One Cup?

- Everything went on a huge positive note: we supported each other, carried in our arms, inspired each other by chants. Special thanks to our rhymer Dima Aliev for his poetic ideas! (Smiles.) We did have a light atmosphere in the team. Even Zhenya Tarasova and Vova Morozov - who are usually always very serious - appeared in a different light. It was also interesting to see Alina Zagitova in a new role, with whom we have been friends since the Olympic season. She really rallied the team. We all seem to know each other, I have been in the national team for a long time, but at the Cup I talked to some guys for the first time. For example, I was not familiar with Andrei Mozalev. And here we were, the whole team united by a common idea. I think Alina was helped not only by her sporting character, but also by her father's coaching experience. He clearly gave her advice from his hockey work."

"azagitova: Our most important qualities are formed in childhood. Striving for new achievements, for development, for being a little better every day and, most importantly, being happier. This is taught to us by our parents, by our environment and by those whom we want to look up to.
An incredible number of little fans support me at every competition and I really want to thank them all again for their support and love❤️

Therefore, I am glad to announce important news! Now I officially represent the best brand of children's toys - TOY.RU!

@toyru_official fully supports my values and desire to take care of the younger generation, which means that together we can make the little guys even happier😍💪"

TOY.RU: "Dear friends, we have great news! Alina Zagitova, Olympic figure skating champion, became TOY.RU ambassador. Alina is a vivid example to follow. Her dedication, faith in herself and her strengths are worthy of respect. She knows how to inspire and make childhood dreams come true. And Alina also supports the younger generation and helps them develop talents. By her example, she shows how you can achieve great goals without losing your childish delight. We are glad that such talented people share our values! Together we will make millions of children even happier."

"@azagitova is our longtime friend and role model for all kids and adults. Like us, she is constantly striving for development and new achievements, to become better and happier every day and to instil these values in the younger generation!

Alina personifies everything that is so important to us and we are very glad that now she is with us! 👍"

I would love to see a 'behind the scenes' video of Masaru in that Toy Store! :laugh2: This was such a day brightener :) I need a sequel with Shanti and Knopa. Although the Toy Store might not survive that.

I am genuinely curious about something. We all saw Alina speak - to my Western occasional weeb ears - excellently pronounced Japanese on stage recently. I was wondering how many languages she does speak, I assume some English at least. I have never heard her speak Tatar though I assume she grew up speaking it? I know many linguistic ethnic minorities are bilingual in Russia and some fo the ex-Soviet republics. Tatar is one of the Turkic languages like Kazakh or Kyrgyz.
