Alina's interview in short:

▪︎ Studies: In the midst of the exam session, today had one of the exams, there's one more exam left;
▪︎ Olympic Games and the atmosphere in the Olympic village: Alina managed to feel it only closer to the end of the games;
▪︎ Japan and her last visit.
▪︎ Advice for young skaters.

Pyeongchang 2018 Olympic champion Alina Zagitova spoke about her studies at the university and recalled the Olympics in Korea.

About studies

“Now I am in the midst of a session, I have just passed the history of Russian literature - I passed everything, everything is fine. There is one more exam left, so keep your fists for me.

It seems to me that study is a little in the background for an athlete, but still, how it turns out - so we learn. Everyone is trying, everyone is developing. "

About the atmosphere in Pyeongchang-2018

“I was as distant as possible, thinking about how to perform, what to do, thinking about training and performances.

I felt the spirit of the Games only at the end, when I finally walked through the Olympic village. This is the rallying of all countries, all people, all athletes. You talk, you find new friends. I felt this spirit at the end, it was not enough for me, although the Olympics went on for quite a long time. "

On motivation

“I can say that the Olympic path is difficult. You need to go through it, you need to have people who help you, give you the right advice.

We must not stop there. As Eteri Georgievna (Tutberidze) says: you climbed the pedestal, felt this atmosphere, but you go down and go again. You can't stop, you must always go forward and obey the coaches ”Zagitova said in an interview with the Russian Olympic Committee ROC).

I was wondering about my earlier post about the languages Alina speaks if anyone had an answer?
Russian; a bit of Tatar; bit of English (Alison, Tiffany's mum, wrote somewhere that Alina's English was ok; plus, we've seen her conversing with Tessa/Mariah/Nathan/etc and we've also seen her answering questions at the press conferences without waiting for translation from English).
