ROFL! But I must restore the reputation of my memory. "The horror, the horror," was actually written by Joseph Conrad in his book "Heart of Darkness" on which the film "Apocalypse Now" was based and script adapted from Conrad by Francis Ford Coppola. Actually, Brando was so out of it on the set--running neck and neck with Dennis Hopper--that he had his lines on little cards all over the set out of camera line, lol.mike79 said:Trust me, if JPL was still around we would be seeing someone trying to do Ricky's dance moves!
As for 'She Bangs' I must quote Marlon Brando/Kurtz: 'The horror...the horror...'![]()

(BTW, I got the PMs from you, MM, and others about my mom and so far so good. You all are so sweet to ask. I'm trying to stayoff the Internet in case of calls, but I called tonight and she's okay 36 post-op, so given the enormity of tonight's AI happenings, lol, I wrote my posts off-line and pasted them on. But I'll get back to you guys soon. Thanks again for asking.)

But no matter who said it, given the scenario it's a PERFECT line.![]()

The judges shouldn't quibble about who's left in the group...they put them through initially after all.....
Anyway, I though they were eventually going to break up the "Diva" thing, but not this soon. Totally thought that Tonya, Fantasia, Jasmine, and Diane should have been safe tonight and they were..........this is exciting!!!!! 42

But even HE had a better voice than some of these people who weren't even in the bottom three this week. It is a TALENT contest, for crying out loud!!
(Where is the spewing vomit emoticon when you need it??)

I do, however, have a bone to pick with the producers about this Group A/Group B BS. It was obvious right away that they were setting us up for a big "WOAH!" moment. Bad enough to do the stupid groups, but making poor George walk to "The Top Group" was just mean to everyone involved - cruel to George for making him make the assumption anyone with a brain would, mean to LaFannifer for taunting them with their bottom 3-ness, and mean to Jasmine, Diana and John for pointing out that almost everyone in that audience thought they should be the bottom 3. I see that the producers were trying to make a point, but I thought that was spectacularly poorly executed. Adding insult to injury, the credits cut off Jennifer's song after about 4 bars!

I just don't know how you all justify this.
One vote per phone number is the only fair way.

I AM VOTING ON TALENT... I love John's VOICE and STYLE... tough if you don't. Don't insult my decision just because you don't like it... Mike, I read somewhere that the producers of the show do have some say in the final outcome each week....can tweak the votes if they need to mix it up a bit. That's why I'm not too worried that the most talented of the group will be "voted" in as the winner....
If next week truly is "salsa night", I may have to just watch the results show. I don't think I can handle watching Diana or John attempt a latin rhythm....Yikes.
his best performance (even I said it!) would get a lot of first-time voters, plus you know his fans who were shocked that he was finally in the bottom 3 last week were working overtime on the phones this week. I hadn't considered JPL's fans jumping ship to John, I guess that could have happened - but I think the other factors were more than enough to guarantee another week of Teen Martin.
Tonichelle said:Jennifer, Latoya, and Fantasia were in the bottom three not because those of us who just don't know what we're doing voted any harder/more than any other time... but because their fans voted less. it happend last season and the season before... so don't act all surprised when it happens this year LOL
mike79 said:I completely agree Toni. When fans become complacent it means that their favorite might be in trouble.
There is a little problem this season, however. With Fantasia, Jennifer, and Latoya more than likely splitting a lot of votes it can cause what happenned last night. When someone like John is around, a guy that is completely different from the rest of the group, a group of fans will be loyal to him alone. If there are a lot of people that like John they will vote for him for most of the night, as opposed to people who might throw votes to all three of the divas.

mike79 said:I stick by my wish that we could vote for the person who we want to leave. It would be almost sadistic in a way, but it would potentially bring about a more balanced voting system.
