Anna did a 1 1/2 hour long interview with Sport.fm

I don't imagine anyone would have the time or desire to translate it all, but perhaps someone could give us the highlights?

Asked about Olympics in Sochi, said the team did good and she hopes to be a part of the Olympic team in the future. She has a few senior seasons andd proved herself as a tough competitor.
Her Mom wanted her to do sports. Anna have chosen figure skating among 3: fs, ballet and gymnastics. She was 3 years old. Her Mom did some touristic sports activities, hiking and such. Anna had lots of energy and Mom thought she better does sports than make her house a mess. Also her Mom took her to lots of additional skating lessons in different rinks when she noticed Anna had certain success.
She had two training sessions per day, one before classes at school and then another after school. Her parents and older brother helped to accompany her on the transport.
She always wanted to be a single skater. She had some invitations to pair skating and once she had tried the lift and she was terrified- she is afraid of heights.
FS has the artistry and athleticism and that is what lured her to this sport.
She had always wanted to study a lot. And she tried her best while being at school. Although she missed some French classes (she had fs sessions the same time) but she took additional lessons in order to cover the gap. Most of her teachers were really supportive of her. Her fav disciplines were Russian, Rus literature. She entered the sports university(how is it called officially?). Sotnikova is in the same university, a year older. She's going to be a coach.
Fav author in literature? She likes classics, her father loves sci-fi and has a lot of books at home, she is not quite into it. Classics favs: War& Peace by Lev Tolstoi. She did not read Anna Karenina yet. She reads The Catcher in the Rye, has no time to finish the book yet, says it is very interesting for her.
Her French is really bad although the grammar is good cause she had studied it a lot. Now she studies English.
She sai she had some interest in tennis, there are some similarities in techniques- there is a stroke before the knock on the ball or a jump in both disciplines. That's how she explained it.
Asked about her EX for Conchita's song she said it was original and Conchita is a great artist and that was what interesting for her to create an unusual EX number.
Asked about her terribly looking falls: she said she's okay now, her knees are okay. She can't promise she would not fall because it's the way sport goes, if the jump is not done perfectly then you fall. People are worried about her falls. Anna says she usually does not fall on flip so she was surprised. But when she is skating she does not concentrate on the pain but she knows that after the skate the adrenaline fades and she will feel the pain. But winning the medal is sort of comforting for her pain.
She likes to choose the original music. It has to feel comfortable for her.
Asked if she has a boyfriend? She said it's personal. No other comment. Also she learned a combo of 3Lo+3Lo but currently her program is packed with difficulty so she's not planning to include it. Not learning 3A yet. Currently she wants to perform her content clean . Not planning to learn 3A and other combos.
Currently she's not certain if she will be a coach. She wants to find a job that would be interesting for her. As long as she is still competing she will try to refrain from taking the decisions about her job.
Asked about her Nationals result she said she did what sh could. She had a flip edge call and she will work on that after the end of the season.
Is it hard psychologically during the competitions? She says everything depends on you only, one should not depend on the mistakes of other competitors. Her coach helps her a lot, she speaks to her when she has difficulties, music helps as well. She does not feel she needs to be angry to fight during competitions- she wants to skate clean and perform for the fans. During Nationals she had spoken to herself during the step sequence on SP: "This is so cool, you're giving your best right now." She likes to skate when the weather is good because it brings lots of positive energy.
Asked about lots of make-up- she says it's for the performance purposes only. Her face has to be seen and be in style with her skating image. Like for Scheherazade she has a stong eyeliner on.
Her Mom sometimes gives her some advise but never goes with her to competitions, she is not watching her live being nervous. She sends her SMS encouraging her prior to competitions. Anna tries to stay calm and not worry if she has got an SMS or not because anything can happen and she tries to focus on the competitions. She has no special rituals entering the ice or before the competitions that she follows as other athletes do.
Her final score depends on many things. If she's showing good results on every competition consecutively then she will get higher marks. So if she had better results at the beginning of the season then her marks at Nationals could have been higher. Can she fight Medvedeva? She can- she has to work hard and do clean skates. She can't place all her jumps in the second part of her programs because her body might fail- it is too hard, the program has to be harmonious and let her body perform each element clean.
Her programs were created initially by Nikolai Morozov and then perfected with the help of Victor Adoniev. The music was chosen by her, coach and choreographers.
First they were listening to the music in the warm changing room and then they have listened to it on the cold ice. She said Bolero is not perfect, the music is too hard and she does not feel very much connected to it yet. But she is in love with Firebird and Scheherazade. First she planned to have her EX Tango as her SP and then they've found Bolero. So Tango went into an EX number. She attends acting lessons. The costume for EX is partly a tango red dress and partially a hospital wear, a bit dirty.
Sometimes she watches competitions on gymnastics because of it's similarities to FS, but she has no much time to watch a lot.
She fell in love with Japan. She loves the way people pay respect to older people, they are cheering for foreign athletes a lot. She loves to be there but does not think she could live there.
Her usual days are very packed. After Europeans she has a lot of events to attend, interviews to give.
She loves to meet old friends now, especially those she haven't seen a lot. Some live abroad, train abroad. She has a lot of friends.
Her free day depend on her errands: studies, sometimes she goes out with her Mom.
Asked about manicure- Anna says she does that for competitions.
Fav food: not fish, she hates it. She likes to cook, likes what Mom cooks for her. She tried to make Tiramisu. Likes soups, sweet desserts. Her coach is not really supportive of cakes. So she can eat it once in a while in the morning to burn it during the training session.
After the training session she comes home and grabs her cat and goes to sleep. She says her cat is her hobby. They also have a dog they've got in January.
Asked what she does during free time on competitions: watches movies, studies, goes for a walk. In Bratislava she walked for an hour and there were same buildings everywhere.
Asked if she goes to Worlds definitely. Says it will be announced later on and the decision does not depend on her. She wants to go. She was fourth last year but her technical score was the highest. She says she remebers it was in Japan, they got awarded outside, it was very windy that day. The public was very supportive. She tries not to focus on the noise in the rink.
The most unusual gift: plushy octopus, huge one.
How much is the skating dress? It's a big secret. The 6-7 thousands of strasses on each dress and they are even more expensive now. Her Mom helps her with her money. She says the results are more important than the winning money. When skaters stop competing and start to skate in shows them money might mean a lot. She does not follow soccer because in this sport money means everything. In her vision it's a wrong focus in sport.
asked on why her coach does not watch her skating at the rink board as it was before. Anna says it was her own decision (coach's). She does not need to watch her coach during the skate. It can be important during the training session. When she's competing then she has a task to perform and does that very determined.
Vkontakte, Twitter, Instagram are her only accounts.
Is it important for her to leave abroad for additional work? She says it's expensive and she did not have much possibilities as of yet. She works with Anna Tsareva for 12 years. They have professional relationships solely.
During vacations she likes to do all kind of activities not only relaxing ones.
Mottos? Fails are gaps to be fixed, love everyting that you do.
Relationships in Russian team between the girls? Good ones, everyone does their job and it is hardwork that they all respect.
Any false news about her? She says she has no time for that. Her parents might read but they never give her any negative feedback
How does she tolerate lots of attention? She says it's okay, doesn't bother her a lot. She does not think it's too much, others might get even more admiration.
When she was a kid Plushenko came to her rink and she had a picture with him. She was very small and could never imagine she would stand on the podium of the same competition he attended. She does not have an idol in figgure skating world.
3 things to take on a desolated island: plastic tube to drink water, food, mobile to call SOS.
What is happiness: when you're warm inside, you radiate positive energy and nothing can bring you down.
Okay, I did what I could. Might be messy and there could be mistakes, sorry for that.
