Anna Pogorilaya

Anna was amazing! I really love her skating. She brings maturity, great style, artistry
and athleticism to her programs, what a combination. So happy for her!

I think she will win NHK, if she skates like Rostelecom. Satoko has lost her favour with the judges. Being one home ice won't help.

I'm not so sure, skating at home tends to bring out the best in skaters themselves (Ashley, Katelyn, Anna) and it's very likely that Satoko will have an extraordinarily treat skate. Anna might have to be even better than today and that's a tall order, especially if one is aware the audience don't want you to win.

Anna looked great out there today -- powerful and confident. Really enjoyed her program. And she smiled in the Kiss and Cry! Yes! :gclap: We SO wanted her to smile at Worlds!

but Satoko wont get underrotations in NHK
it will magically disappear by the tech panel !

Satoko is the clear frontrunner for thegold there not Anna.

At least Anna made it today... I think she can win over Satoko, but she would have to be really 100% , because Satoko is going to have better scores then she had in SC. But I think Katelyn will not make such a high score , she was pretty overrated at SC in my opinion. Even is Anna would end up 2 or 3 in NHK she will make it to GPF.

You shouldn't forget that Anna already beat Satoko at Worlds. And the Japanese crowd is going to like Anna very much, so if she skates two clean programs her chance of winning is very very high imo. It's hers to lose, again. ;)

I only hope that Anna can medal, let the gold for Satoko, she needs it to get into GPF. So clearly JSF has some preparation for that. I think Anna will be better at GPF if she does not skate last or near last as the girl who wins 2 GPs.

Anna saved the day for me! That was beautiful from her! She's definitely on her way to GPF :hap10: Doesn't matter to me if she'll qualify from first place or not. Btw. I hope she will complete all GP series titles through her career if she'll have opportunities :)

Awesome ex! Looks like the beautiful duckling is now developing into a breathtaking swan? :scratch2:

As a word of caution, I hope that Anna the Older keeps Anna the Younger sufficiently grounded. No overconfidence please, we are not in Pyeongchang yet.

Haven't seen the gala yet, but just finished watching the competition events. I cried tears of joy seeing Anna do so well. :yahoo: So happy for her, she deserves it.

Just finished watching the ladies FS...wow, Anna was magnificent!:luv17: I think she's markedly improved this season in every way. She almost looks like a different skater and has lost that slight awkwardness she used to have. I thought she deserved silver in Boston, but maybe it will happen this season.

I kind of miss her weird and voidy ex programs like Tango in a Madhouse, Fifth Element, Rise Like A Phoenix...but she looks so happy and vibrant here that I can't really complain. Beautiful dress, too. :)
