Anna Pogorilaya

OMG that was the most heartbreaking thing I have ever witnessed, I nearly cried with her :sad21: after the last fall you could actually see that she was ready to just lay down until someone drags her off the ice. I have clapped my stupid hands off for her. I'm glad the whole crowd was so supportive!! Anna you poor thing, whatever was wrong tonight, I hope you get over it.

Well, a real disaster. Reminded me of NHK 2015... In fact, what bothers me most is that tonight's performance was less good than the one at the EC, which was less good than the one at RN (may be debatable but she did have huge problems with her 3Z-3T at the EC though she was not injured), which was less good than the one in Marseille (which was really wonderful). Hopefully she will get over such a meltdown: if she can, she is a real champion... Hopefully her federation will keep on putting some money on her; I really doubt it, maybe the worst thing is not that she fell three times, but that she fell below MS...
Well, let's forget this post, and let's dig it out when she medals at the OG...
What a disaster...

I believe everything will be ok. This is life, bad things happen. We have to get up and continue working harder for our dreams which I believe Anna already learned in the past.

Anna has posted a video on instagram where president of IOC and president of Finland are showing support to her. I believe she can overcome this with the huge support from her team, family and fans.

Also she had a very good season apart from this bad day. I don't think Russian federation will lose their faith on her. She is really gorgeous when she is on.

I am so heartbroken for Anna. I really hope that she'll manage to put this event behind her. She is my favorite lady skater and I don't even want to start thinking of her place in Russian team next year.. Anna is really special and no one has more command of the ice than she has

Maybe Mr. Bach can put in a good word for her w/the Russian Fed ;) That was a nice gesture. No matter what happens, she is still a well respected and beloved skater. :)

Poor Anna. Deserved a standing ovation for fighting through it all. Love both her program this year. The errors in the Free don't diminish the beauty of her skate for me.

The crowd support throughout her program was so moving - thank you for your part in it.:) I was thinking, at least she'll know she's beloved.

here comes the love train for Anna :luv17: :luv17: :luv17: :luv17: :luv17: :luv17: :luv17: :luv17: :luv17: :luv17:

It was so sad. I can't believe it! i'm crying seeing her so broken
The worst is not today, the worst is what the federation will do. Bye Olympics and bye to be the third Russian. In Russia you can never fail, or they will leave you behind :sad46:

I've never felt anything like it. I think we almost cheered more for her than the medalists. The hard road ahead was on everybody's minds, including hers.

I loved that she went for the surprise second half 3-3 again, even though it didn't work out.

I could feel it through the TV - it was... unreal. Heartbreaking & heartwarming at the same time. Thank you.:)
