First part (10 min out of 40). It mostly small talk and, as far as i remember, there was nothing concrete about the programs, sorry. But may be it will be good enough for off-season. Next part (paying and crying) is expected in 2 days.
Part 1. "Look for the woman on the Internet."
Q. Hello to everyone at the microphone of Alexandra Lyskova, this is a program "Female team". You know, my heroine is famous not only for her attractive appearance. For her incomplete 20 years, she managed to attract attention with her awards and performances. With great pleasure that I introduce my guest today. She is a russian figure skater who performs in ladies singles. Bronze medalist of the World Championship, multiple prize-winner of the European championships, bronze medalist of the Grand Prix Final of the season 2016/2017, master of sports of international class Anna Pogorilaya. Anna, hello.
A. Hello, hello everyone.
Q. Yes, greetings everyone. Here is our first part and it is called "Look for a woman on the Internet."
Before you came to visit us today, we entered your name and surname Anna Pogorilaya into the search engine and looked what is the latest news associated with you.
A. I can even guess what was out there.
Q. Yes? Well, tell me what you think.
A. Because the last World Cup, most likely, caused a little bit of shock to everyone.
Q. So. Well, let me read then, I will quote that I found interesting about you. You talked about your attitude to competition in the national team. "The season was finished in Helsinki, and there, at the last start, I again came to the familiar conclusion - not to stop working. I know that I can work, I know that everything is possible, but trying to convince myself that I'm perfect ... I'm not perfect, but I can fix myself, eliminate many of my shortcomings. " That's how harshly you criticized yourself.
A. This is true. But there is always something to strive to and I'm really not perfect, this must be understood and this must be accepted.
Q. And you can conclude, at least from this quote, from these your words, that the most severe critic for yourself is you.
A. No, probably not, the strictest is my trainer and my mother.
Q. And you sometimes indulge youself.
A. Yes it happens, I'm human.
Q. Tell me, when you are dissatisfied with yourself, and judging by the words it happens quite often, because without this quality there is no growth probably. You can keep feelings inside without showing them to others or you are so full of emotion that you can't hide them.
A. Yes, there are people who keep it all in themselves, but I on the contrary, usually I do not hold. If something does not work out, I'll go to the trainer, I'll start to discuss this, why it is so, why it isn't. That is, I will not keep it there for long, because otherwise it will tear me apart, because I will still come to the trainer and I will ask what is wrong.
Q. Well, I can draw from this the conclusion that figure skating occupies around of 97% thinking thoughts.
A. I can not say that.
Q. Can not? But how many?
A. Well, theren is a lot of things, but probably 80%. Because 97% is very a big load.
Q. But do you give yourself some kind of slack, what can distract you, what is the easiest way to relax and rest from figure skating.
A. Well, there really is nothing concrete, because I do not like monotony. I can go for a walk, especially when it's such a beautiful weather outside. I can go to the cinema there, start something new here. Possibilities are unlimited .
Q. You always have ideas, what to do? What should happen for you to praise yourself, for you to say "Anya, well done!".
A. Well, probably when have studied a new element. Well, or executed an element realy well. Only in these cases. When i am really down but i have managed to overcome myself, then yes.
Q. But in general, are you a workaholic? You're still have a vacation anyway, you need rest. Are you pushing yourself? Or there is common sense that you need to rest sometimes, it is useful, it is necessary.
A. Yes, there is common sense, because you can not constantly burden yourself, the body needs rest and the head needs rest, that's why it's not worth it to drive youself to the corner. Last season we planned a vacation at one time, but in the end it was divided into two parts, because I was short of health and generally tired and the coach said that I can go on vacation. I took a vacation for only 4 days and I had enough above the roof. I continued to skate from there, prepare the programs and, then, again flew off again.
Q. Only 4 days.
A. Yes, 4 days is not enough. Between the seasons, we take 2 weeks, probably.
Q. Well, you are probably one of those who, when the vacation started, honestly think about the beach, about the sea, about the swimsuit, about the boats, or you still continue to eat yourself remembering the elements, remembering your skates, that is, you are still one foot on the ice anyway.
A. No, no. It is very hard to think about programs on vacation. The only thing you think about is how not to turn into an amoeba and not get out of shape. That is, even staying on the beach, you go to the gym or just run around, repeat some elements.
Q. Now tell me, what are you doing now, what are your plans for the near future, what are you living for, what are you preparing for.
A. It is off-season. It means learning new elements, training old elements, in general, the development of oneself. And we are preparing for the production of new programs, and then we are preparing for the shows and for rest.
Q. The rest, yes? Probably what you await most.
A. Long-awaited.
Q. The long-awaited vacation. It is not a secret, sport in your case is your profession. What brings you income. You are still very young. But when did you ever desired for money? To win a tournament to earn them?
A. Thank God no. Because when person is driven by some kind of ... Well, not by a love of figure skating, not becoming a champion for the sake of, I do not know, stand on a pedestal, hear a hymn, but by money, the result immediately slips. This is only logical. Because you are chasing for the wrong goal.
Q. Oh, how good you are. Do you really mean it?
A. Well, this is reality. Even the shows, they are also paid, but everyone see it in a different way. Someone do it for money, but someone ... I just like it. Because it develops you in a new way, you learn something new, you meet new people, you travel around different cities. You can try yourself in something new. That is, not only in sports, as a competition, but also as a show. For the sake of money ... I can not imagine. Thank God I'm not like that yet.
Q. Yes, thank God. You see, you come to everything with a heart and love, as I call such a case. But if you were now giving advice to people and you need to choose an extreme. Do something that brings a good income, or choose something that brings great pleasure.
A. I guess I would choose pleasure, because when a person does what he likes, then everything comes to him. That is, you need time, you need to invest strength, and many other things. When you do this with a soul you do not spend so many strength, but the result is much, much higher.
Q. I feel your endless love for the sport, for figure skating. And when this feeling woke up in you. Right from the very childhood, once you got on skates?
A. No, at first these feelings were hammered into me. And then, from the age of 15, at already a teenage age, when you yourself begin to wonder why I'm skating, and why I do it. That is, some kind of awareness comes. And I, probably, and remained in figure skating because I realized that I like doing this sport.
Q. You get great pleasure.
A. Yes, yes, yes.
Q. Many of those who go to this sport under the compulsion of parents, under the compulsion of someone, because it is considered beautiful. Because a girl should be engaged in rhythmic gymnastics, figure skating or something that gives grace to a woman.
A. Well, first of all the sport always develops you, even at a small age I would give my child to the sport, just develop her. I'm just not sure if it will be a big sport.
Q. You, by the way, are not the first sportswoman to admit this.
A. But, see, when the child is starts training, he is not particularly asked and he does not understand anything. That is, they start and everything goes on.
Q. Well, in your case, skates make it even more difficult, it is not clear what happens to childs at a small age.
A. I do not know, I, when, at a young age, I really did not understand what was happening, but, here, i went for a skate. And it worked, yes.
Q. Is it true? All turned out all right?
A. Well, I was almost the best, in one group, then in another. And then i started to go on my own.
Q. And is there the profession that causes you another similar interest, like the profession of an athlete?
A. Well, actually there's a couple. That is, cooking, fashion industry, but I understand that this should be done, as I do figure skating, but I can not combine yet. I can amateurly watch something fashion or cook something amateur. It can be done later. In fact, I'm already looking for a profession, which I would be engaged in after figure skating.
Q. You are so beautiful, I think you will succeed in any profession, you don't even need the education, you will be accepted everywhere.
A. It would be awesome.
With all the exercise they get, I would think some indulgences every now and then wouldn't hurt them. She seems very dedicated and seems like a very level-headed young lady.
