Daniil had to come find Anna during her Channel 1 interview to tell her that the victory ceremony had started.

Also, I can’t understand Russian but I think I caught two words in the voiceover that sounded like ‘ballerina’ and ‘musical’ when they were playing footage of Anna...so I agree?

".. then the silver medalist of this championship, Anna Shcherbakova, is like a ballerina - musical, elegant, incredibly flexible. But at the same time, it was she who was able to perform the most difficult element in figure skating - 4Lz."
Then Anya says that the 4Lz did not have a really good landing, but it was landed in contrast to the previous competition, which means there is progress. Here comes Daniel and so funny gently says: “They want to reward you. Let's go there?”

I don’t know if she’s even doing Dreamcatcher as her EX. In Daniil’s IG story (where she does 3Lz-3T-3Lo-3S-3T in the EX rehearsal), she’s wearing a very modern-looking black-and-red costume with pants. It’s not impossible but the outfit doesn’t really scream Dreamcatcher to me. She looks more like a soldier than a fairy.

But whatever it is, I’m really excited to see it! New EX?

Soldier Anna? That would be new.. we'll see..

I love the fact that Anna can go from “precious ice fairy ballerina” to “badass fighter” in 3 seconds.

Well, that reminded me this choreo dance practice of Alina:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=klE1u4cor-Y

It's actually the same. This is one of their routines from the off-ice sessions with Zheleznyakov. Too bad we have already seen the dance from Alina, who's more mature due to her experience and age, also she's a very good modern dancer. Anna's routine was waay to cringy for my taste..I saw that she gave it all to sell it but the choreo was just awful :palmf: It must take some extra talent to turn your best girl in terms of dance abilities and musicality into this...I also don't get the general tendency to make gala routines which to 1/3 consist of some weird moves with the body on the ice.

People are far too critical of gala programmes. They provide a chance for skaters to try out some different moves, dance to different styles and generally just have a bit of fun after the tension of the competition. I say let them be experimental and enjoy the moment. To my mind, in any case, ice rinks + spotlights + shadows + motion just don't go well together, so I can never see terribly much of what they're doing, good or bad

All three of Tutberidze’s Three Awesome Aces probably studied new gala routines for just these Junior World Championships.

I doubt they will keep these EX for their senior gala performances.
Having dance class every week I am certain the girls can whip together a EX in no time, and perhaps even make one up on the spot, such is their talent and experience.

The EX give some insight in the different personalities or character the girls want to portray:
Shcherbakova: serene and balletic
Trusova: bold and athletic
Kostornaya: refined and artistic,
so it is a surprise when they spring out of bounds and do something wild.

Anna does smile with confidence when her skating goes well, and her smile is pleasantly natural.
She may look a little fragile and lanky, but she’s one tough cookie, fully in command over her skating.

I hope Sasha will keep her EX even in senior. I love it. I would like to see Alenas Vampire as well. Maybe a new one for Anna, she did it great, but it´s not my cup of tea

It was hard to truly evaluate the exhibitions due to the terrible camera work. I hope we at least get to see them one more time with better angles so we can actually see what was going on.

It seems that there was shooting from a different angle https://www.instagram.com/p/Bu1iHpaIxX5/
The way she flipped from her back to belly is so gorgeous

Yes, this whole EX from Anna came as a surprise to me.

The Japanese entry in the kimono made me think Anna has some traditional serene theme in mind, but then she went all wild and wicked. Good for her, and like Aleksandra later, Anna herself enjoyed the surprise she pulled on us very much.

For both of these Awesome Khrustalniy Aces, these EX mark the end of their junior international careers.
Next season Anna is a senior, and faces whole new challenges and co-competitors. May the Force be with her :-)
