Anna's never had her ears pierced, and doesn't seem that much into beauty, cosmetics and hair? Natural beauty needs no enhancements, and the few touches of make up she applies for her skating performances are very subtle and tasteful.

Yes. And the first one with two quad lutzes in one program.

Anna also landed 4T (+combos) and 4F in practice.

Why she includes only qlutz is a matter of ultimate curiosity. IMHO she doesn't want to reach her best too early. Unlike to Sasha who doesn't care.

It always depends on how stable the jump is. it took Anna a year to stabilize her Lutz enough. More quads also means more effort and in LV Anna didn't need 120 points in TES so it wasn't necessary to exhaust herself.

I mentioned this earlier, but it's probably also stamina. Trusova had 3 Quads before this year, but only started to do more recently (a lot of people forgot she had 4S since she never did it last year). Anya is taking her time making sure everything is good before adding more. And that's fine. We can wait )

Another aspect to consider is this year being her senior debut. Imagine two scenarios: debuting as a senior, with your best quad. Then, later on adding in another one or two that may not be the most successful jump(s) for you. On the other hand, if she were to debut with all jumps she has trained but perhaps does not yet have the best quality, she may not be received as well with the judges. I think the first option is a much better route. Show your best to the judging panel during your debut, then they will probably forgive errors more readily in the future, imo

I was ready to slap Johnny Weir through my screen when he spoiled Anna's costume change. Why? Just why?

Also, it makes me sad that Anna's music cut off right at the crux of her program (the moment after she changes her dress and Firebird comes in), but the fact that she just continued unbothered, kept on time, kept performing her character and landed a 3Lz3Lo as her music came back on shows that she is truly a professional.
