Anna Shcherbakova

Congrats to Anna on the World title! :love2: Pulling off the 3Lz+3Lo after missing it for the first time gave me major Alina at the Olympics vibes. It was such a precious moment when she realized she had won. And her English is just amazing.

(This was not a particularly good skate for her standards but she pulled thorugh and that's all that mattered. Her Nationals skate was the skate of the season though.)
That's the champion character. I also immediately remembered Alina. I am still little sad about the quad fall, but then again it also adds a credit to her that she was able to deliver without letting it knocking her down.

Anya!! Our World Champion 🥇

Well this was a crazy rollercoaster ride of a season. The 4F could not be tamed this time but Anna fought for every single element and was very smart to adjust her layout to the circumstances. That final 3Lz3Lo!
She proved once again that she has nerves of steel and that can take you very far in this sport.

Now to a very well deserved rest and a long birthday celebration, starting with this title :party2: :hap10:

In one of the most competitive times of ladies figure skating, Anya becomes 3X Russian National Champion and now the World Champion! There are not enough words to describe all the feelings and emotions I felt last night, yes it was not the perfect performance that I am sure our ambitious Anya would have wanted, but she fought for it every single second. Mistakes can maybe rattle athletes sometimes, but not Anya.
Such a well-deserved gold medal for a hardworking, remarkable skater, emotional and impressive performer and a kindhearted, modest and intelligent young lady!
Our fairy is now The World Champion :cheer2::cheer2::love2::love2::hap10::hap10:

Who's that girl? The Usch?

The good thing about this world championship besides Anna winning gold was that even without her ultra jumps she got to show the world a lot of her talent. She is a lot more than a quadster. I think more people are starting to understand it this girl has excellent artistry and musicality to go along with technical prowess thats at a very high level.

She really has the clutch gene. That can not be taught.

Anna survived an unbelievably difficult season to become basically the heavyweight champion of the world in the ladies discipline. ;) So I want her to go on eBay or Amazon and buy a WBC WBA or IBF heavyweight title belt replica and hang that in her house. :)
