Anna Shcherbakova

so

yesterday
3Lz, 3F3T, 3S // 3Lz, 3F, 3Lz3Lo

today
3Lz, 3F3T, 2A // 3Lz 3F 3Lz

I think it could be: 4Lz 3F3T 3S 2A // 3Lz3Lo 3F(2t2lo) 3Lz

Her jumps didn't seem to be that comfortable. Good thing she didn't fall on anything.

Yes, I guess it must be more difficult for her to skate under this kind of lighting.. I'm not sure how I felt about the program, this music seems to be very serious and dramatic, not really suitable for little fairies, although she's really maturing fast.. :luv17:

She is supreme. I was positively surprised as the steps near the end begun - where did she suddenly get that speed! Yes, the music is kind of too serious but as the season develops she will get used to it and will connect with it even better.

But I find the choreo a little bit... lacking? :confused2: They really have to pay attention to her arms, why don't they use and show her talent! Those windmill - like movements are not spectacular (although they look good because she has a great body control) Especially with this music, they could definitely incorporate something more sophisticated. With every season I get the impression that the team gives better choreos to the girls with lacking artistry (for example, really hitting every music note etc) and leave skaters like Anna to showcase only half of their talent.

Suppose it's probably only about a month she started to do this choreography, so it's natural it isn't perfect yet with all technical or choreo elements. it was also her first appearance in front of such audience. Everything has its time.

I was only referring to the program itself. Anna was great, or at least for me. She coped well with the stress performing in front of such a crowd. But anyway, you might be right. They have the entire season to add more details to the choreo.

I thought that the choreo is very involved. There are tons of details.

Apparently she did -3Lo combo tonight as well. So the only time she skipped it when it was televised. *Sigh* That's too bad... But still, it's good that she's still able to do it in an ex with pretty good success rate.

maybe it's the lighting? or did anna kill somebody, because that is a lot of blood

Beautiful costume, elegant choreography and demanding music. Anya looked simply breathtaking.
Jumps were a bit low, but I think she might've been tired after first exciting day at the first show ever, in half darkness and on the smaller ice size, she's completely not used to. More than that, she's basically in the very middle of training process of building physical base for the whole season, this is obviously not the time to be 100% in form.
Anyway, as I read, her amazing presence and skills took over viewers hearts and for sure boosted her confidence before upcoming season, which is the most important thing.
Let's also remember her outcomes last season were not perfect and there is plenty of girls willing to get a spot in JGP at the test skates. Having abroad fs show in your resume definitely doesn't hurt your chances before feds.

Btw., Olga Ryabenko wrote in instagram she made this costume for the show only, would it mean there'll be different long program?

I think serious and dramatic suits her very well...
Thank you so much, Shayuki! :thank: I missed so much seeing Anna skating. I love her program, the music is beautiful, and that crescendo with the step sequence is...:jaw: Not her best jumps, but it's just a month of training after the holiday, so they are not that bad either , taking this into consideration.
Yeah, all the jumps are tiny and aren't that comfortable. But from what I've read, she was better both yesterday and tonight, so perhaps it was partially because this show was so early in the day.

In the opening, she did the spiral into 3Lz-3T: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k79kGqU2vlA

Well that's very interesting!

I guess all we can do is wait and see!

If this is in fact not her competition program then the actual free skate will surely be even better.

But actually, the step sequence in this program doesn't seem like a step sequence for an EX because it appears to aim for lvl 4 with many steps and turns that seem to be quite difficult for her / perhaps even beyond her current level, so choreoing that for only an EX doesn't seem very likely to me...
