Anna Shcherbakova

Anna was calm, quiet and composed, valuable traits in a figure skater. She delivered her short program without any hesitation, completely in control, the hallmark of a person in command of herself. Good to see her Snr Nats Gold hasn't gotten to her head.

Such a contrast between those skaters from Khrustalniy, each of them unique, no cookie cutter skaters. Each girl has different strengths and weaknesses but their collective of trainers never fail to bring the best out of them.

I think her senior nationals win has really helped her. I think it gave her confidence, not only that she could win and beat her teammates, but that she could skate cleanly. And we're seeing the fruit of that now :luv17:

Yeah, it's a huge relief after JGPF. She can keep her nerves under control, thankfully. Good luck today! :cheer:

Little fairy, 4Lz was not there today, but everything else was.:luv17:

Anna grew so much, mentally speaking. In the past, when she made a mistake, I always had that fear that it will affect the rest of her skate. Now, I don't have it anymore. It does not matter when an error occures (and when you are going for "the quads gamble", it can happen), she just goes on, it does not affect her performance at all, and usually she finishes strong and gives her all. Her programs grew a lot over the season, and she herself seems more confident and poised.

Congratulations, and looking forward to see her at EYOF and JWC.:love:

She dropped her shoulder a bit. Otherwise she would have this quad landed no problem, she really should she held that shoulder up a bit longer. Just a tiny mistake, but that caused her a fall. Pity.

Also is it me or Anna became a faster skater and her edges got even deeper now. She looks to become taller too since Russian senior nations.
