Well not really, I mean most of the European ladies are in their twenties, but most haven't hit 25 yet. Fumie and Julia are the real oldies at 28, Poykio is also 28 and needs to call it a day, her skating keeps declining due to (old age) injuries .

Sasha and Alissa both look about 14 years old though so it's all good.

Absolutely not! The only granny in elite international level skating* is Julia Sebestyen and no other person shall be called granny

*I had to add elite international level skating since i know several real grandmas who skate

I always thought the definition of "troll" was a person who pops up out of nowhere to harass long term posters with vile, rude and silly comments designed specifically to upset and inflame... that sounds like a specific poster, but definately not RD... Red Dog is just cranky.

You have apparently stated your opinion on trolls and who is or is not one-and I have mine. Just because a person has been posting a long time does not make it okay to bash away over and over again at this skater or that one. Some of those same people do it on other forums and they've been called out on it elsewhere too.

Thanks Mrs. P for pointing out the obvious to our fellow posters... I'm tired of attempting to explain this to folks who've decided that we should step to their beat... its soo tiresome.

You were not asked to explain anything, certainly not by me. I don't require any explanation for the obvious.

No one has decided you or anyone else should step to any particular beat just because they don't agree with you, or are defending or stating an opinion. By the same token-no one has to step to your beat either.

And that's all I'm going to say about that.

Julia still jumps like a little kid. Plus, she's not THAT much older than Sasha. We can leave the title of granny to Sebestyen and call Cohen "goat" or "geezer" instead .

I have also noticed several die hard Kween fans who became surprised at finding themselves defending Sasha. So to bashers I say thanks for doing the impossible

then they weren't bashers to begin with. some posters on this board throw that word around on anyone who isn't a fan of their skater. That's NOT what a basher/bashing is. Never has been.

The other day one remark was made about Michelle here - and mathman was on it like a bear on honey. If mathman or other Michelle fans came across constant Michelle bashing we know how they would act and can guess what their resposnses would be like. :yes:

The Kwan fans I referred to were not bashing Sasha. My point was that even stanch fans of the Kween got fed up with so many mean-spirited and petty attacks against Sasha that much to their own surprise they found themselves defending Sasha. I thought that was kind of cool.

Fumie turned 29 on Dec 31, and Poykio is still 27 till late February.

BTW Julia doesn't look granny anymore. She changed her hair style. And her lutz is still like a teen.

You're only as old as you feel-and I reckon Julia and Fumie are feeling pretty good. It wouldn't surprise me if their fellow Senior Citizen Sasha Cohen is also feeling pretty good.

This is all true, I knew Fumie had a birthday coming up but I guess I missed it. Julia's lutz is HUGE. And yes, Sasha does look young, I think part of it is because she has always been so small, and never got bigger. Caroline and Mirai looked like they were 8 (they were actually almost 14) when they went 1 and 2 in juniors in 2007, but now they look their age because they are normal sized. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MObZCjKHFaY
