anyone on here have a cottage, cabin or condo?

Fortunately, my parents have set up a trust fund to go towards the care of the cottage after they die. They have alot of money saved up and can easily do this.

I forgot to tell this: There was a family on the same road as our cottage. After a remarriage there were so many arguments on who got to use the cottage and when, that the father abruptly sold it. He didn't want to deal with it anymore.

At least my cousin can't buy half of the cottage because you can't buy something that isn't for sale. :D

Thanks for letting me sound off. I am announcing that I will use it next July 4th!

Good for you!!!!! I would also like to add that you should suggest to your brother that he vacation with your parents - either to make your time out of town worry-free by his being with them or that he take the parents out of town with him just so you can get a break.

I'm going to be 40 in about 2 months and do NOT consider myself a spinster. Guys just are too foolish to realize how great I Am. Seriously, there are positives and negatives to being single and married. Enjoy the positives because you'll regret not doing so if/when status changes.

BTW, I am fortunate in that my mother is relatively healthy. She's only home about once a month lately. However, if she were to come home full-time, I know we'd need to work out an arrangement with my brother. My mom said years ago that she envisioned living 6 months with each of us once we were both married. I don't see a reason that it shouldn't happen while I'm still single - especially since we'll drive each other nuts if we have to live together 7 days a week again. Also, She should spend more time with her grandchildren.

Good luck
