Are you getting smoke from Canadian wildfires?

Wednesday was truly awful in NE Connecticut, yellow sky orange sun, yesterday a bit less and this morning is overcast (milky sunshine). Nephew & family live in London Ontario.. getting a lot of smoke but are fine otherwise. He said it reminded him of Eugene Oregon (where they lived a few years ago) when the wild fires came very close to them

They say the AQI is bad today, but I can see this thing called the sun.

Yesterday at sunset the sun made an appearance. It was hot pink. The actual orb. In a gray haze. Beautiful sight, do not recommend cause, 0/10.

My heart goes out to all who have lost lives and homes. :( This is obviously a North American phenomenon, not just Canada.

Here's a frightening clip of a train going through a fire in Ontario, Canada yesterday or the day before. The comments under this clip said Toronto had the worst air quality yesterday or the day before but now other cities are up for that title. I still have to go out and about, not a spring chicken but luckily no resp. problems. A friend of mine in western Canada says it's not so bad there.

OMG... social media is going crazy about this. I am not going to say anything more because it involves topics we do not discuss among friends on GS but you guys can have a look.
I'd like to say more too but we can't say much on here. The EPA being gutted recently in the U.S., and climate change deniers don't help matters, but I digress.

We are getting just about everything else. Rain, flooding, spectre of tornadoes, hail and wind damage, power outages (extremely rare here), heat, humidity and mosquitoes in profusion. But thankfully no wildfire smoke, which is undoubtedly the worst. Having had many smoky summers in years previous, I'd rather take the whole above menu instead. I've pulled more blackened HEPA filters out of my furnace than I care to count.

Hope this doesn't affect the last couple of soccer games.

Sorry that so many of you are having to deal with this. :(

Good Lord! Courageous 🙏 for them and everyone affected .. and wildlife😢. Healing can begin in the aftermath but the devastation, heartbreaking
