I hope he pulls thrugh this. I am a big horse racing fan and have been pulling hard for our champ to live.

Barbero was put down earlier this morning.

My heart is going out to the Jackson's, Dr. Richardson and everyone at New Bolton tonight. They all fought so hard for him...

That is such sad news. They all worked so hard, and things were looking up for a while, and now this.

I was really sad to hear that yesterday but not surprised. One report said that he was developing laminitis in both front hooves so that was pretty well it. Praise to the Jacksons for doing everything possible to pull him through this catastrophic injury and also for knowing when it was enough. I read that he came through the last operation alright but that a day later, he was suddenly not doing well and they could see that any more time and treatment would probably not have a good longterm outcome and would be painful for the horse.

He was great and now he runs again in eternally green grass. Thank you Barbaro.
