Best and worst warhorse performances

I think we haven’t touched yet Rach No 2 have we?
And of course , here’s Sasha was the first to come to MY mind
To my mind:

Here is one of the best-choreographed (Lori Nichol) ladies' Short Programs ever, IMHO. It's Rachmaninov piano concerto #3, not #2, but anyway... By the way there is also some music taken from a Rachmaninov piano trio -- wWkipedia says #3, by I always thought it was #4 (Dumky). Maybe @4everchan can clear that up for me?

trio élégiaque. It cannot be #3, he wrote only two and it looks like it's number 2.

Ok I was confused by Mathman’ post in this case!
The concerto was definitely #3. Where I got confused was the trio part. Somehow the Dvorak "Dumky" trio (#4) crept mistakenly into my mind. ;)

Thanks to @4everchan for the always enlightening responses.

Anyway, I have always regarded this program as an exemplary collaboration among music editor, choreographer and performer. :).

I’ve always had a huge respect for Michelle but never been a particular fan, in part because I was in Sasha’ camp 😉 but this program made me feel something for the first time - she was music itself and so much joy - gorgeous. So thank you Mathman I think I might watch a few more of her programs …
Lori yes was my favourite always, I wish my favourites Alisa/Misha would go to her next season, their skating is crying out for some great classical piece but I suspect they will stay with Renee… sigh… ah sorry for the off topic!
This thread is making me sad - has time of truly outstanding programs gone forever? What we have this season across all the disciplines- would any of these programs be remembered 20 years on from now? I would say Adam’s LP might have but his struggles with quads kill all the artistry…

Oh, yes!!! I recall Yuzuru's Romeo was his take on those separated by the earthquake from their loved ones as this was the first post-the-earthquake season for him. And one has to remember he was a survivor himself and was still traumatized. R&J was his very intentional choice then and the authenticity of his raw emotion was striking and just mind blowing for the audience. No wonder it brought him his first Worlds medal at such a young age. He was just 17, wasn't he? No shade to others, but he was the perfect Romeo indeed.
I am not sure about perfect Romeo, but at 2012 Worlds it was an epic skate.

Michele reused this program in 2002 although in a purple dress.
Joannie Rochette and Caro skated to Dumky trio. I believe there were other skaters including juniors. I think Lori recycles ideas sometimes (it's not a bad thing, and I don't mean Michelle's program, that was Michelle's choice).

Rach 2. We cannot really put Patrick in this category because he only used the finale of the concerto for his last step sequence. The programme focuses on the cello Sonata... But that step sequence is good ! ;)

My favourite is still this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FfcVJLcknrk (Robin Causins, 1991)
The assignment didn't specify it couldn't be a dated pro program. :)

Only costume of Sasha i do not like sigh,..
Rach no. 2, 3rd mvmt:

The most musically designed (or improvised) rendition of the piece!

Another great Rach 2 is Mao Asada at the 2014 Olympics. The final footwork sequence was incredible.

The skating is, but while I understand the need to cut music, I am not OK with putting it on repeat. Gogo did this too, and they often do it with Masquerade waltz as well.
