Best Looking Man in Figure Skating...

Shite, I almost forgot about that Andrei Maksimishin guy -- he's cute, but l'll put him in the same pile as Weir, Buttle and the other "cute" boys. Afraid I'm left cold. Maybe because they don't look legal -- and is too much of a boy for my taste. *shrugs*

ITA about Andrei and Weir -- when they grow some, though, they will be quite good looking.

Do you remember Scott Williams? (IMO, Michelle has picked some fine looking coaches.And Morosov is not the skating world's worst looking choreographer. Do you suppose this is one reason why she fired Frank and Lori? Using her dad and Sarah Karahawa (sp?) to ward of suspicion, and then starting considering looks as a factor?)

I don't think Roman Kostomarov is married anymore- last I heard he and his wife seperated. He was getting too close to Oksana Domnina over the summer and there is a rumor floating around that he might continue skating with her. I hope not because Navka/Kostomarov and Domnina/Shabalin are great as they are! I really hope there is no truth to this rumor- well if Oksana leaves Maxim to skate with Roman, Maxim can skate with Svetlana Kulikova. I still hope this is just speculation though... I was impressed with D/S as Skate America and it would be really lame if they stopped skating together just because she was seeing Roman. I also think N/K wouldn't break up during the Olympic season when they are mos tlikely going to win- hopefully it will be their last competitive season soing out with a bang.

Anyway leabing your partner for somebody else sometimes works- I mean if Lydia Manon didn't leave Ryan O'Meara we wouldn't be seeing Jamie Silverstein and Ryan at Skate America- where I was quite impressed for them skating together for only 6 months before the event- they have great potential to make the Olympic team and no citizenship issues i.e. Belbin/Agosto.

Anyway this subject is hottest man/men in figure skating and sorry to spill it to you but Roman Kostomarov doesn't do it for me, but Maxim Shabalin is smoking hot and he has an amazing body and such a fluid ice-dancer reminescent of Evgeny Platov. But while I am talking about ice-dancers, Andrei Maksimishin has nice arms, nice abs (you can see his nipples through some podium pics, but this is a family board and I need not eloborate on what was going through my head at the moment) he also has a beautiful face and will look better in about 5 years, the same thing was with Ben Agosto, back in 2002 when I first noticed this team Ben was just cute, now he is smoking hot. But again Andrei is 21- so he is legal, but I am not so....
 
Oh, how could I forget Maxim Marinin? I agree, he is certainly one attractive Russian man! But, I still think Sergei Grinkov was the most handsome that I can recall. He only got more attractive as he aged. I thought he was far too hot for his own good in Lillehammer (with one of the best butts in all of figure skating!). :cry:....still such a sad thought to think of him being gone. He was a wonderful skater, husband, and father.

Interesting theory on Michelle, Attyfan. Perhaps you are right........ she spent so many years spent cloistered in a cold rink with a very drab Frank Carroll, and now it seems she has become a hotty coach collector! Oh my.....finally a chink in the "Michelle is just so nice and sweet" armor! :biggrin:

Other skaters that I think are attractive/sexy: Alexei Yagudin (99 and afterward), Peter Barna (at the 92 Olympics anyway...I never saw him anywhere else, so he could have just been pretty for that one competition), and Kevin Van Der Perren.

I guess if Roman will skate with Oksana, it would be after he and Navka win gold because it seems that Navka wants to have another baby (I just get this from interviews) and turn pro. Honestly, I don't find Roman attractive at all. He makes the weirdes robot faces in photos and he looks like a major dork. Though I guess if he sat still and didn't move his face, he would be good looking.

Did his marriage with Julia even make it to a year?
 
Andrei Maksimishin is attractive but I agree that he looks a bit feminine. To me he looks to be a cross between Eman and Ilia Kulik.

I can't believe this thread has gotten up to five pages and one of the hottest sexiest drool worthy men IMHO has yet to merit a mention.

Mr. Peter Tchernyshev.

I was annoyed with ESPN chacking P&W for two reasons. The first is that I happen to really enjoy their skating and with the problems they had last season it would have been nice to see them when they were "on". Second I was hoping to do some Peter gazing in the kiss and cry. Evil, evil ESPN.

Also Johnny Z, Anton Sikharulidze, Aaron Parchem, John Kerr and even though I feel like a dirty old lady just mentioning him I agree about Fedor Andreev.

Ingo is coaching the German pairs team that was at Skate Canada. Jaana's right he looks great! I had forgotten how handsome he is. He looks so much better without Mandy,LOL.
