Boot suggestions for intermediate skater

Hi I am a 20 years old intermediate male figure skater and I can't find a boot that combine confort and matching my level

I leant figure skating in second hand Jackson mystique size 9 (290)
I have no pain in them and they feel good, exept they can't support me anymore since I'm learning to jump high on my waltz jumps and salchows and the toe pick slides on toe loops and flips

I am looking for a skates that comes without blade because I want the MK pro

I've tried Jackson mystique size 10 (295) (1 above my previous one) they were confortable but I would not buy these cause too soft, i need an upgrade
I've tried Edea Overture in 290 and they were painfull (I was just sitting), sooo narrow on the toes, the foot but too loose on the ankle
I couldn't try any other boot because black skates are uncommon.

I am thinking about getting the Risport electra lite or RF3 pro in 295 because they go higher on the ankle than edeas.
Edeas were too low (maybe i was just used to jackson's height)

Do you know if risport electra and RF3 have the same width ? Are they wider or narrower than Edea Overture ?

I gave up looking for jackson because it looks like they always comme with a blade I don't want and the ones without blade are too expensive in my country.

I have egyptian feet with narrow heels
1.85m (6.1 ft) and 63kg (138,89 lbs)
Please help me

Hi and welcome. Where in France? I can suggest fitters around the world that could help you. First of all, boots and blades aren't interchangeable, you can't go from being in a stiffer boot to a less stiff one which is what you were writing you tried on. With your foot, you could go with Risport RF3, Jackson Premiere Fusion 2802 which is the black version of that style boot. You could also try Graf boots for your foot style as well look at F4000 ( yes it comes in black). All of these should meet all the needs you have: Height/weight, foot type, skill level and they are boot only, so you can pair them with the MK Pro blade you want.

Thanks for your reply. I never implied though that you ever skated in any boot other than mystique, which to be completely honest with you, should never have been skating in mystique with your height and weight, they aren't anywhere near stiff enough for you, and you shouldn't be jumping in them AT ALL! You risk injury. Now, I suggested the boots I did b/c they are what would be best for you and yes they actually do have Graf boots at some shops in France; there is actually a shop in Sallanches, FR that carries Graf. Yes that may be a few hours from you but the point is they do carry Graf in your country. If it were me, I would be going to try out the Risport RF3. Don't even consider Edea or even the Royal line of Risport since they fit more like edea. The RF line is best for what you need but don't exceed RF3 at this point, the others will be way too stiff for you.

Your foot isn't for an edea and Risport electra light isn't stiff enough for your needs. I feel that you should be in a Risport but not the electra. Give up on EDEA.

Just wanted to second @Ic3Rabbit's recommendation for Risport!

Like you, OP, I have Egyptian feet with narrow heels, though I also have moderately wide forefeet (the "pizza" shaped foot, as I've heard it called ). I skated in Jacksons for a long time, and they were mostly OK - but they were always a little too wide in the heels for me. I got fitted towards the end of last year and tried on both the Risport RF3 Pro and the Royal Pro. I was pretty amazed at how well both of them fit out of the box - I got a good heel lock in both of them, and perhaps most surprisingly, the regular width Risports fit my forefoot almost as well as the wide Jacksons!

I ended up going with the Royal Pro for a few reasons (the most important of which is that they have a less tapered, more rounded shape in the toe and forefoot which was a bit better for my width) - but the RF3 would absolutely have worked, just with more aggressive heat-molding and bunion punch-outs. If your forefeet aren't particularly wide, you will probably fit just fine in the RFs.

Incidentally, I tried on the Edea Overture at my fitting as well, just for the heck of it - but I had the same issues you did (too tapered in the toes and too narrow pretty much everywhere except my heels).

It's also definitely worth trying on a Graf, if you end up going to a shop that stocks them. I tried on the Edmonton Special (which I should note is for triples/quads and is way too stiff for me - the tech just wanted to see if Grafs might fit). I can't say that I remember how they fit in great detail, as I was already heavily leaning towards the Royal Pro at that point - but I do remember that the overall shape and width of the boot felt right.

Hope it all works out for you - you definitely need to upgrade from those Mystiques as soon as you can!!
