Britian hasn't had too many skaters that have been able to break into the standings this past decade, so I hope they do well!
By the way, does Jayne Torvill still live in England or is she in the States now?

Laura - Jayne Torvill lives in England. Chris lives in the States, in Colorado Springs, with Jill Trenary (his wife).

I haven't seen that pairs team skate yet, but I do know that there has been a buzz about them. They're the top junior team and there aren't any senior teams. I hope they continue to improve a lot and move up the world rankings.

Becca27 - we didn't have any pairs at Worlds. The only skaters we had were O'Connor & O'Dougherty in dance (Humphreys & Baranov couldn't compete due to injury) and Jenna McCorkell in ladies. Neil Wilson was supposed to be competing in mens but I believe he was injured, that's why he didn't go.

Chaignee & RG - yeah, it was Tiffany Sfikas and Michael Aldred that that happened with. IIRC, Aldred threw her across the room! I think she ended up in a neck brace, and dumped him as a partner immediately. Poor girl's been through a lot. Anyone know if she's got a new partner yet?

Does anyone know if Ms Sfkas is still skating? I can understand becoming angry at a partner but hauling her across a room?

Tiffiany Sfkas is back in the US and living in Chicago, and I believe that she is starting her partner search again. There was also something about it in an old issue of IFS, but I don't really remember what it said exept that she was outraged and upset that someone could get so mad as to hurt someone as bad as she got hurt.
