Is it possible to swap blades at home by reusing the current screw holes? Or does the screw slot position vary across different blades meaning I'll be unable to swap blades simply by unscrewing the old one and screwing in the new one?

Does anyone know which more advanced blades I could swap the aspire xp blade out with based on the screw slot position?

The positions of both the elongated slots and round screw holes in the mounting plates of the blade are not standardized. You will find that even the number of round screw holes in the sole plate vary.

Also, you need to be prepared for the possibility that some of the existing screw holes (in the boot) might not be reusable as is; but they can be repaired, if needed.

I don't have someone to mount it for me which is why I was hoping I could swap it myself at home....

Are the screw slots not even standardized across a specific brand?

If you're asking whether this is universally true for all models within any single brand, the answer is no. E.g., within the Wilson line, look at the Gold Seal vs the Coronation Ace. They don't even have the same number of holes+slots in the sole plate. The question then becomes whether some models within a specific single brand have identical mounting patterns. The manufacturer should be able to tell you this info.

Are you still talking about your Elles? Don't they come with Mirage blades? Regardless, if you limit yourself to the Jackson Ultima blade line, you would upgrade to their intermediate Legacy line (available as Legacy 7, Legacy 8, and Matrix Legacy). Email Jackson Ultima customer service and ask them whether you can swap the Legacy (verify for all 3 options) directly for your current blades (Mirage or Aspire XP). Caveat: Before you decide on the Matrix Legacy, verify that your local tech has the right skate holder and experience to sharpen them.
