So according to the schedule the competition will take place on 3 days - 26.12-28.12. It is very convenient as I have Christmas holidays and can spend some time watching figure skating. Besides no other events are planned for next weekend. I am looking forward to it. Fingers crossed that qq live will stream this event. I watched Japanese Nationals almost entirely on that platform and the quality was very good. Only sometimes the stream got frozen for a few seconds.

Tike Zhang uploads videos from a lot of the domestic Chinese competitions on Weibo shortly after the completion of each skate. She also uploads the videos to Bilibili and has a Youtube channel on which she uploads some of the videos with a little bit of delay.

In general, Bilibili has a lot of profiles uploading videos from Chinese competitions. You can find videos by searching (in simplified Chinese) the names of skaters you are interested in or the name of the competition.

Jin obviously doesn't deserve such a massive lead, but I think the first place is well deserved. He landed the best 3A of the top 4, skated with decent speed and flow (this season has been great from him on that regard, although a bit tentative here), and gave a fine enough performance... this program though. Not good. The previous two Olympics were better for him in terms of choreography. Would give him a 1-2 point lead over second place.

Zhiming Peng has the weakest skating skills and presentation of the top 4, but landed all his jumps (two quads), and showed one good spin position. Would place him maybe three points ahead of third.

Yudong Chen had the best choreography for me, and wish this is what Jin were skating (Jin actually stalks his jump entries less, and hits better spin positions, so the impression would be better). But the choreo mark for me and the relatively clean combo and 3A means I'm fine with the third place based overall. The 4S looked UR.

Daiwei Dai has the best basics of the four in terms of usage of knees and edges for glide and power (although it always seems he, Jin, and Chen skate about equal in speed, and Daiwei might even be a bit slower than Jin and Chen), but two major mistakes, a combo not done too well, and I just don't see him as a particularly fantastic performer. Fourth of these four is deserved. Would in fact have more of a gap between him and third place. The 4T looked UR too.

That's a level of sophistication no one was even anywhere close to this quad.
Yes, I'm so happy they are back. Obviously, they are still catching up in terms of physical fitness, it's not easy to make up few years of missed training, especially after serious injuries and not being the very youngest but they are clearly getting better and better with every skate. Much more energy today than in grand prix, lift looked more solid, spin were closer and faster, better unison, more attack and more attention to choreography.
I'm not sure if they will be able to fight for another olympic gold but if they could get bronze to complete their medal collection that would be great as well. For me, every time I see them skate is a treat I didn't expect to have so I enjoy it very much.

They deserve far and away the highest pcs in the sp if they skate it clean. I just hope they do, and go relatively clean in the lp as well.

I wonder if they (Sui/Han) will be assigned to Four Continents Championship. It's in Beijing so I believe they can do it, no traveling, home cooking andvantage and they actually will benefit a lot from a good outing there (possibly winning) in terms of momentum, PR and ranking points. Phisically, it should be managable as well for them.

Top 3 pairs after short program:
Sui/Han - 85.97 https://youtu.be/tF0SJ5NT1m4?si=nmhP2JtjAYzGNZeG
Zhang/Huang - 72.35 https://youtu.be/s0JB_MJsMC8?si=xTVw0x2nJ2Aqt3DK
Guo/Zhang (Jr) - 71.82 https://youtu.be/c7TMeu5wVCM?si=2WjY3s9UUUyUBTY_

Sui/Han have enough margin so even if the free is not clean they should win and with the point advantage from GP China I don't see them not taking that olympic spot.

Some other teams:
Sun/Wang - 59.68
Chen/Dong - 55.73 https://youtu.be/fD4baIHpMZY?si=i0_0IQMDsUqbNgpd
Hu/Wang - 51.28 https://youtu.be/vwgTXpg9UeQ?si=X0Jq8meO7XlbZ7lh
