Boy that Tom Kricheck & Mark Mitchell appear to be the popular coaches now a days. I think I saw them in the Kiss & Cry more then any other coaches. I am sure they are going to get more students after the exposure.

Well, I don't know that Mark Mitchell and Peter Johannsen are taking more students right now. They have a LOT, many more than were at Nationals. Though there, they had Scott Smith, Stephen Carriere, Juliana Cannarozzo, Kylie Gleason, Curran Oi, Brittany Rizo, Michaelee Sacarino (I KNOW I spelled her last name wrong, but you know who I mean). And they have many, many more at home--I know Michaelee's mom was really happy they were able to get on their schedule at all.

Was Mitchell mentioned by name at all during the broadcasts? I think once. You'd think they'd identify him more often, considering that longtime TV skating viewers would remember him.

Thanks for the spelling. I knew it was somethng like that. I heard Mark Mitchell mentioned a few times. But I saw him sitting in the Kiss & Cry so much. He must be a pretty good coach. Didn't he Choreograph Emily's short program also?

Charlene Wong coached Mirai Nagasu... the ladies novice shmapion as well as others. I am not sure.. she may coach caroline zhang. She is an old friend and it was nice seeing her in the kiss and cry so many times. Of course Frank Carroll made a lot of apperances.

I thought that I recognized Mark Mitchell with a number of skaters but I didn't hear his name mentioned. Perhaps he's not in favour with the commentators : ) ? They do seem to point out some coaches ad naseum!

Well, Frank Carroll is....Frank Carroll. Mark's still got a few decades to go on that.

Yes, Mark did Emily's short. You can tell because she does a 'scoop-the-snow' maneuver at, IIRC, the start of her footwork. He's distressingly enamored of that move, and I wish he'd stop using it. It's getting old.
