Compliment another GSer!

Rather than pick specific posters (don't want anyone to feel left out) I just want to thank everyone on the forum for enriching my knowledge of figure skating immensely since I joined over a year ago.

There are so many skaters to follow so the fan fests have made me curious about those I was not familar with as well as a resource for my favorites.

I will never be a technical expert on scoring but I'm much better at recognizing jumps, spins and the details of the program.

Thanks to all who tirelessly post news, videos and argue passionately about scoring or skating politics.

And finally b/c my enthusiasm for the sport has increased due to GS, I will be going to Worlds in Boston, which will be very exciting. I live in NY so it's only a train ride away, so I thought why not? And I hope to meet some of you there!

We ALL have to meet up @ Worlds in Boston! :cheer:

Satine94 does such a good job of keeping the standings posted as events are underway. If I miss an event and go back and read the thread it sheds an interesting perspective in relation to the scores and is an added aspect when trying to get a feel for an event. If I'm lucky enough to watch an event then it's always nice to know the current standings without having to open another window or click back to the ISU site.

Greatest invention of all time: Vuvuzela Crematorium!

Thank you :peace:

I actually came in here just to post about you! You always steer clear of the drama/debates (however you see it ;)) in the competition threads & for that I admire you greatly.

Li'Kitsu is an absolute doll! *russian kiss-blowing emoticon*

:thank:

And last but not least, Russian speaking squad on this forum:yay: I'm happy that this forum got these wonderful additions, like Sugarpova, Alexrus and Snow63

I'd like to give a kind pat on the back to Matmuh who follows so many skaters with so much passion and positivity. Matmuh is someone who never gets caught up in the politics or simply follows skaters based on the country they are from. Someone you look forward to reading their posts. You've been my main source in keeping up with Elizabet and for that and your extremely fun and positive attitude I'd like to say thank you:)

Eh, why not, it's been a while! A few of the many posters I admire off the top of my head: :)

Sam_Skwantch, for his sense of humor & video-editing chops.
Invisiblespiral, for her delightful randomness and awesome writing. :agree:
Ruffledgrouse, for her amusing competition commentary.
Imagine, for running one of my favorite YouTube pages and being partially responsible for my love of music-swap edits :laugh2:
And, of course, all of our wonderful mods for the work they do to keep this place up and running!

I will probably think of more...

How could I possibly forget all of the wonderful folks who post links to videos and live feeds of competitions? Also, those who watch and post to the competition threads as the events occur.

You guys are the heart of this place!

I'd like to thank Mango for taking the initiative to start a thread about Canadian skating... 70 pages later, we are still going strong. Thanks also to TGee for fueling the conversation with lots of information while Osmond4gold (thanks buddy!) and I colour comment ;)

Mango
