I'm pleased to see that Becky got credit for a 2A3t and that neither Kristine nor Becky had a serious edge call. That's a true improvement for young American skaters.

Yes, that's great that neither got edge calls and both have a lutz and flip in their jump arsenal.

I am very excited by Becky Bereswill. I saw her programs from Liberty on Youtube and she is a beautiful skater to watch.

Seems like it was a great day for the Canadians. Great for Szmiett to medal. I can't think of the last time that a Canadian girl won a medal on the JGP circuit. As for Rylie, I'd assume that Skate Canada will give her a second JGP berth after this. 7th place! Thanks to nadster for all of that info on her. As for Ralph/Hill, i'm not surprised to see them up there. Hopefully they stick ot out for silver, since gold seems to be a little out of reach.

Got about seven stammering minutes. Romain Ponsart is/was skating to Four Seasons-has fallen/fell at least twice.

Edit: Not absolutely certain of this, but the commentators mentioned Petr Bidar while the scores were being announced(In French, didn't managed to catch them), so I think he might be in the lead right now.

Okay, they showed Eliot's total score of 155.05, and I'm fairly certain the commentator said he was in second behind Chao Yang.

159.17 for Christopher Boyadji. There was probably a triple axel involved, the commentators were effusive in their praise, and he looked very happy, though I think he just might still be behind Chao Yang.

I think he's second to Michal. No 3A is the main difference, but a great skate for Armin nonetheless. Note the 3A is worth more this year. Florent 3rd overall, but 2nd in the LP

Dummy that I am, I tuned in and got Brezina's last minute on the ice. He is quite a technical guy but I didn't see that wow factor I saw last year

Amodio improved somewhat. He's a work in progress and will be competitive soon. Great flow over ice, posture however doesn't vary.

Ten is good and belongs in this group but he's just not a podium type yet.

Mahmadoozabeh (I'm going to call him Amin from now on) looked like he had Morozov choreograph his routine. He was all arms, which irritate me when they are arms for the sake of arms and have no bearing on the music.

On the whole, none of the boys wowed me. Very disappointed in Brezina, hopefully he makes the final.

btw, does this same group all go to Spain?

For a first time following juniors, I'm impressed with everyone's knowledge!! It's really helping understand what's going on a little more easily.

I wish Paul Poirier had placed higher, but, then again, considering his high ranking in dance, I think he's still really good!

Also, didn't Ten once skate for Canada? I thought I'd read an article on Golden Skate, titled "Ten for 2010", but maybe it was another skater with the same last name?

For whoever was wondering who the last lady was to medal in the JGP, I think it was Jessica Dubé in 2003 or 2004 -- the year she won two medals in one event, gold in pairs and bronze in singles, I think.

Joe, I haven't seen where the Madrid line up has been listed yet. Usually it would not be the case, though.

Doris - I got the wrong thoughts. It was the American skaters: Bereswill, Musademba, Amin, Elliot, and Shibutanis are all listed for Madrid.
