Dutch Figure Skating 2025-26

They skated really well, but so did almost all of their early group competitors. Who would have imagined that 64 wouldn't make the free.

Exactly what I thought. Well, at least the Dutch press acknowledged that too, and hailed them for having done well (although they don't mention the 64, far too difficult for the speed skate lovers).

With all the attention for the OG, I would almost forget: Chelsea and Sherim are scheduled to compete at Skate Berlin this weekend. At Finnish Open last weekend they were 7th (they were 5th in the FD, a bit of a redemptive skate compared to their ID) with 140.41 points. Still no minimum TES for World's so they'll be at it again!

At Skate Berlin Noa Fay Cappenberg was 25th with 80.61 points among the Jr Women. ID Sr is not finished yet, so I'll be back with further results.

At Tallink Hotels Cup in Estonia, Lucca Dijkhuizen was in 13th place with 121.82 points, Kahlan Gooijer was 23rd with 89.44 points and Pheline Wisse was 24th with 88.18 points. All young women skating in the Jr category. :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:

The senior women are currently doing the FS. After the SP Niki wories was 8th, Jolanda Vos 12th and Saskia Oudejans 19th. :hap10::hap10::hap10:I'll be back with the final results later

At Skate Berlin Sherim and Chelsea have withdrawn after the RD.

So proud of Angel Delavaque who got 23rd place at the JWC after the SP, with 54.03 points. That doesn't sound like much, but there were 50 young women competing there, so 26 of them can't even skate their Free. Angel can, and that after suffering an injury late last year so she couldn't even skate for a while. Well done Angel, and good luck in the Free!

Angel managed to rise two places and end in 21st place at Junior Worlds. Well done Angel. Hopefully more to come in the future! :cheer: :cheer::cheer::hap10::laugh3::wave2:

At the Sonja Henie Trophy in Oslo, Norway, Jolanda Vos made it to 10th place in Sr women after the SP. Well done Jolanda. :cheer::cheer::hap10:

Next week the Coupe de Printemps will take place in Kockelscheuer, Luxembourg. This is a singles only competition.

Three Dutch Jr women will compete: Noa Fay Cappenberg, Lucca Dijkhuizen and Pheline Wisse.
Three adv Novice girls will also compete: Charlotte Brands, Arina Krasova and Summer Wijkhuizen.
Finally there will also compete four girls at the basic novice level.

I wish them luck!

Jolanda Vos managed to rise two placements and ended in 8th place with 124.55 points at the Sonja Henie Trophy in Oslo, Norway. Well done Jolanda! :cheer: :cheer: :hap10:

Thje Coupe du Printemps in Kockelscheuer, Luxembourg tradionally has quite a few Dutchies competing, and this year was no exception.

In Advanced Novice Girls Summer Wijkhuizen was fith with 94.58 points, charlotte brands was seventh with 89.68 points and Arina Krasova withdrew.

Well done everybody, :cheer::cheer::hap10::hap10::laugh3::laugh3:.

Finally un update:

The WC weren't good to the Dutch. Neither participant made it to the Free Skate. Niki Woris was 28th in the women, Daria and Michel were 21st in Pairs. It must have been really disappointing for Daria and Michel especially - they skated so well at the OG, just didn't make the cut (17th) and no redemption here. I do hope all skaters continue. No ID here (Minimum TES not reached by a few 100's of a point.).

But, although the season is over for most skaters, there are still some competitions that are part of this one. Floor van de Pas will be skating among the Junior women at the Black Sea Ice Cup at Kraneva in Bulgary. This competition starts today (and I definitely don't think it's a 1st of April joke!). I wish her a lot of success.
