and made him rise to second. Hurrah!

Just checked...they don't have it yet. They're 0.42 points off.Do they have to get the minimum TES for the WC in March? Because that might explain it. Normally, the Challenge Cup is the last resort to get them, but this year the CC was very early. I'll check later.
Thanks @DemTuppesSeine! Seems I was right in my speculation. They had it last year, but of course the numbers have risen somewhat in ID since then.Just checked...they don't have it yet. They're 0.42 points off.

Danilova/Tsiba already had the Worlds minimums. It is the ID team who are half a point short (and still are after the competition in Finland this week). They skated so well. Do they now have worlds minimums ?
Sorry for my confusion. Gives me another opportunity to say how much I enjoyed their performance. Who knows, maybe a team will withdraw and they will get to skate anyway. Don't tell anyone I have said that. I just have a bad feeling.Danilova/Tsiba already had the Worlds minimums. and he is just absolutely gorgeous.I think they had those. Our Ice Dance Couple didn't, and there are reasons - even for me as a Dutch woman - not to support them too enthusiastically (they bullied out another ID couple with a nasty lawsuit). That definetely does not apply to Daria and Michel though. They are people you can't help but support. Very sympathetic and friendly. I met them a year ago, and they were so kind and nice to an old fan of figure Skating!
Unfortunately if a team WDs from the free (and I have a feeling that there is a pair who might) they do not get replaced. I have always felt it was a shame that the spot doesn't get reallocated to the highest placed team which didn't progress, but it doesn't.Sorry for my confusion. WHAT ! that's not cool. That's absolutely not fair. There are about three teams who could w/d at this point... I don' t think they will in the end... but now that you tell me that they don't replace them, I hope nobody w/dUnfortunately if a team WDs from the free (and I have a feeling that there is a pair who might) they do not get replaced. Unless it's different for the Olympics, but I don't think it is. Remember that last time they had an extra lady qualify for the free in case Valieva wasn't allowed to compete, because they would not be able to have that team replace her if she was out.WHAT ! that's not cool.
