Yes!!!!! Totally agree! I am hoping they go to France but China seems to love them so much! I really think they will get Rostelecom though. I am also thinking about how the Fed will probably match them up either against S/B or S/K.
Thoughts?
 
I hope they don't get GPs back to back again. They seem to do well performing at home, so CoR might be good for them.

If Bobrova and Soloviev are healthy (which is unpredictable) the Russian Fed may want B/S to have Rostelecom. They're still known as one of the best couples in the World and can be solid medal contenders (and that's what the Fed dreams of). Will Russia risk to lose one spot in the Finals but putting two top Russian teams at one event? I don't know but I wouldn't.

Anyway, I hope for China and Russia for them, besides, these events are two weeks apart next season. I've already checked for the flights to Beijing, just in case... :biggrin:

I'm hoping I/Z be like "Bring it Baby, BRING IT ON!" Did you see the fire in their eyes at Rostelecom? That program is going to be a classic someday, if it isn't already. As for location, as long as we get to see them I'm cool :rock:

Well, they had 3 russian couples last season so who knows. China and NHK would be good also.
 
Y/M and S/K will probably both get CoR, since they are only entitled to one GP event. That means only one other Russian team can go to Moscow. I have a feeling it'll be ruslena, but they might send B/S if healthy.

Y/M will participate only in one GP event? I thought that they have two spots as they are reigning world juniors champions.

Normally, they have two spots,unless they sacrifice themselves for the others.
Unless the rules changed Y/M are entitled to two spots. Even their world standing is something like 40 plus places about S/K

Anyone that understands how Lena works knows they won't repeat themselves anyway. And nobody can be sure what the program is by just seeing a picture that has a move from their SD. Nobody remembers that gesture?

But when I saw the pic on FB I was so excited.Their eyes are so alive, which is good, it shows they enjoy what they're doing. And we all know what this means:)

Only top 12 finishers at Worlds are promised 2. Y/M are only guaranteed one (the year after S/B won JW, they only had Skate Canada), but they should be near the top of the subs list based on SB scores & world ranking. I suspect with so many teams with only a guarantee for one event, the federation will wait until after test skates to decide who gets host picks at CoR. I would be very surprised if I/Z didn't get CoR though, usually the highest Russian finisher at Worlds always gets it - B/S in 2010, 2011, I/K in 2012, B/S in 2013. Plus they are national champions, and yes the fed will want to give a boost & protection to some lower ranked teams by having them skate at home, but they also need the stars to draw ticket sales, and I don't think there's any Russian dance team with a more vocal or active fanbase than Ruslena.

B/S can get two spots if they use their comeback status, which leaves maybe giving S/K & Y/M host picks at CoR alongside I/Z? However, I'd also wonder if S/K would really want to go up against I/Z on the GP again & risk losing, better to try to rebuild reputation and only meet them at Nationals.

On the one hand, S/K are so clueless and have such a good opinion of themselves that I doubt they will even consider that. On the other hand, it's not like they have a choice. They are guaranteed just one GP event, so they really need the host pick.
 
I'm hoping for CoC and CoR as well. The events are 2 weeks apart (and also 2 (or 3?) weeks before GPF ;)) and they are very popular in China!
I really hope Y/M get the host pick, because I feel like they are much more likely to help out the Russian team over the next couple of years. Especially if they get to go to Worlds with Ruslena... Unless B/S are back on form, I feel it's the only way to get 3 spots back in this upcoming season.

I don't think S/K have any choice since their place in the world standings is 62 and Rostelecom seems to be only GP event they may have. Besides, they had a good rest and tons of time for calm training, I'm sure they would really want to prove they are better as soon as possible.

Why are they guaranteed one event? They are not in top 24 in the standings, their SB score isn't in top 24, they are not a split couple anymore, they are not Junior winners... Unless the rules change they are not guaranteed anything as far as I understand.

I hope B/S can use their comeback status and have 2 events somewhere. Ruslena deserve to skate at home after a hard year they had. CoC and CoR seem perfect.
