The Russian ID community is as shallow as they seem. They honestly assumed a look/package and PR would hold more sway than blade to ice and actual musicality.

The way people were talking it seemed like being tall, blond and pretty is enough for earning medals, if that was the case Kaitlyn Weaver would be an Olympic Champion and multiple World Champion.
What I like about I/Z besides their amazing skating skills is, that they look very unique. There isn`t really any other couple in Russia with the same look on the ice. I also hope that they are going to win the big competitions in the future, I think they have the potential.

ITA! They have really manages to set themselves apart with every competition. They really let their skating do their talking and that is what I love the most. They are also genuinely appreciative of eachother and their success!

I'm with you on that. All in all I think she has had a great year. The Olympics were a great high with her split from Nikita being a low. I am happy that she found a great partner and friendship with Ruslan and her coaching team. Their success is hard work and very much deserved. Wishing our favorite team a Happy New Year indeed!
