Yesterday I've seen short video on the biggest russian TV channel about I/Z qualifying for GPF in their first year together. It was on prime-time evening news (alongside with Ukrainian conflict, oil prices drop, more sanctions against Russia etc). Guys, it's huge! Especially considering speaker only mentioned Yulia and them specifically. I'm so proud :)

I really want I/Z to skate their best at GPF and maybe even beat some other couples!
Btw, if they become 5th, that would be the best result in GPF even for Elena not to mention Ruslan :) (i did not even think they will get to GPF and now I am too excited)

Btw, guys, isn't it crazy for a brand new team to already have 70 pages in Fan Thread?

I uploaded that fan video I made less than 24 hours ago and got a e-mail from YouTube that my counter has been suspended because of so many views in such a short time. It's not a ton but over 400 in just over 12 hours is pretty cool considering I'm a nobody and have 3 subscribers. Lol. People are really into this couple and it's obvious to me why. So much zest and life.

TBH if I expected more than 20 views I would have edited it better. I just kind of whipped that thing up:slink:

Good Luck in GPF to these two. Any momentum and growth is a win IMO.

It was great! I am so invested in this pair. I don't think I have ever loved a dance team so much. I barely paid attention to the other disciplines during the Grand Prix, which is really odd for me. They have given me a love for ice dance that I haven't had since the early 90's!

The same for me! They make me love this discipline!! I want them to be successful then began to follow their rivals now:biggrin:

I agree! I really do think it's because we've been able to witness a beautiful new beginning from bad circumstances - it's a storyline, a very interesting one at that, and they have the great skating as well as sweet personalities to back up having such passionate support. It's already been lovely to follow them, and it's only been a few months! :)

I am so excited to watch them in the Grand Prix Final! Especially their SD! I think it will score well in Spain! They made good strides in between COC and Rostelecom and now they have had more time to prepare. I don't think a bronze or 4th place is too far fetched, as they are a raw talent. They have a great story line but I love how proud they are of each other and how happy they seem to be skating together. Together being the key phrase! They seem to draw off of each other's energy and I love every second of it! I can't stop gushing! The GPF needs to get here.....
 
With B/S looking like going to miss nationals, this is the best opportunity for them to win and solidify their status as russia's no.1/2 team.
 
Volosozhar & Trankov won nationals after only 7 months of being together, beating Kavaguti and Smirnov.
I think I/Z are definitely capable of doing it.

I dreamed last night my mom, I&Z, Yulia and the Eurosport commentator Ita guy. :hopelessness: :laugh2:
 
I think at this point Russia fed is just happy that they have an ice dance team at GPF. Of course there might be expectation but that will not be huge. I hope I/Z will enjoy this experience. so we can enjoy them as much.
