Elena: Very happy, it was the least nervous they have been, maybe because they are too tired to be nervous! Audience was great, now they need to rest for tomorrow & hope to skate with their souls & to the best of their technical abilites. There was no time between GPF & Nats to make any changes, but she thinks they will before Euros - if you are trying to be the best in the world you can never stand still & she knows that with the help of their coaches, they have room to grow, improve and rise above their current level.

OMG,I`m so happy for them. That SD is a winner! I think a performance of their FD like at GPF is going to be enough to get them the Russian National Title.

I have to say that today I was looking Ruslan mostly. He was rock solid and great in his performance. :cheer2:

I did look at Ruslan more than usual but I always like watching him. He is the table dressing for a perfect dinner but I love my food. Maybe too much ;)

I was watching Elena more though I must confess and now I have to run on the treadmill to keep the weight off :slink: :laugh:

People in time we'll get whiplash looking from one to another. Then next they're gonna become so good we just look at them as one unit. Who in their right minds could ever call Ruslan placid? Puhlease !!!

Amen to that! On a complete off note I really love that backward Jump he does in the beginning of the program. He has great posture!

Ruslan reminds me of Scott Moir and not in a clone/bad way. He and Lena really do blend together perfectly. The best part of today was seeing them especially her so happy in the K&C.
 
I thought Ruslan's fistpump right after their end pose was very telling. I haven't seen him do that before! Yeah baby!!

Translation is free, microphones didn’t work at Press Conference, so the sound was silent on places.

Lena told that they are satisfied today, she skated without nerves, it was easy to skate, audience was great, they accepted them very well. The ice rink is like home ice rink, it is good to be here and skate here. The program was good from emotional side, she thinks that it was executed well also from technical side. There are things which can be done better, but basically they did maximum what they could do at this moment.

Ruslan says that it was nice to come back in Sochi, it is a nostalgia…like Lena told that it was enjoyable to skate here like in home ice rink – that it helped to get more confidence. That program was emotional, they just saw the Protocols and they were satisfied.

They are asked whether they really didn’t feel the pressure because they came here like leaders…Lena answered that she wouldn’t say that they were leaders, because other kids got high points at Grand Prix. That it could be said that they (I&Z) got into the Final accindentally, so she can’t say that they are leaders. That it happens that you enter the ice and inside there is no pressure. That it is beyond all understanding that they didn’t fight for placement at Grand Prix Final but they were very nervous there, that inside you feel that something is not OK, but today it was easy, she felt free…she doesn’t know what it is connected with, but is simply happens.

Thanks again Sisinka. I really like the level headed attitude of this pair. While I sense they are exhausted I really hope they just keep it together and skate well in the FD.
