The other guy in the pictures isn't one of their usual coaches is he? I don't remember seeing him before - perhaps it's the lift specialist Elena Kustarova mentioned would be coming to help them.
According to FSU he's Oleg Ouchakov, an acrobat from Cirque du Soleil who has worked with Igor.

He also worked on Ilinykh/Katsalapov's Swan Lake FD lifts.Oh OK! That's good, they've been able to work with so many amazing people this off season. Igor's teams usually have solid lifts and often quite innovative ones too, so this is promising.
Btw, I love traditional waltzes and I have a feeling that we won't get good ones cause all the wrong couples will go the traditional way, cause they won't be able to cope with other options. And we will end up having interesting waltzes and boring traditional ones, when it could be the other way round
I never though about this but you might be right.

I'm curious to see Shib's Coppélia though.

Yes, these haven't been published before. There are some new photos, or at least new to me. They seem to be from last year.

Quests are a type of role playing game where the goal is to get out of a room within an hour.
Antonio Najarro posted on his IG that he's going to do a new choreo for Madison Chock- Evan Bates. So we get to see another Spanish-themed FD, quite curious which dance will be more spectacular.

Antonio is very busy, he recently had a premiere of a new show in Spain so- if you wanna book him you better hurry up.I get the feeling that insiders are very pleased with Najarro's work for Ruslena's FD this season not to mention his work for both couples last season. But why wait till the second week in July to do choreo for your FD? This season will be even more keenly contested that last season. Excited.![]()
Surely his choreo is fantastic, the only choreo that did not deliver it for me from his last season works was for... Chock-Bates, it just wasn't my cup of tea. But basically if the team (or singles skater) is skillful enough- he can lift their performance to a new level. I love what he does for figure skating. I secretly dream one day he does a choreo for Yuzu but that is a complete off-top.No I can't agree completely. C/B may have been bland at times but very smooth and polished. Their SS may not be the best but they that is Madison knows how to sell it. They also have Igor so they are a dangerous team. But more importantly excited to see I/Z next season.
I find the difference in the way he announces the two jobs so funny - with C/B it's just "Going to do some choreo", with Ruslena it's "off to Moscow to see the best dancers!!!!!!!" and see you soon & kiss emojis all over their IG posts - it's like with the inside skating interview he did where you can really tell who his favourites are.

Evan has terrific skating skills and Madison can sell it but I don't view them as a team that should be World medalists. That's based on SS because they should not be as high as they are after the short dance. That's just my opinion. Clean to clean Ruslena blows them out of the water. And comparing their worlds SD- it shouldn't matter the skate order or Igor points.....that's just me.
