Elena Ilinykh & Ruslan Zhiganshin

I think that must be a lift for the benefit of the picture.
Yes, I don't think that Ruslan will do the peace sign when they do the curve lift, altough it would fit their SP. But I wouldn't want Elena's skate in that position on Ruslan in any lift ...

I wouldn't be surprised if that's one of their new lifts, or at least similar to a lift they're doing, simply because I don't think they spend time coming up with lifts for random pictures. But we'll see soon.

It's not like you need time for that. It's almost the same as their old lift.

I mean, they could have changed their two other lifts and modified this one, they could have changed one and modified this one, or maybe you're right and they came up with this variation all on their own, it doesn't really matter. Plenty of teams just modify their old lifts when they get new ones anyway. Its far from what they really need to focus on.

Yes, could be anything. Could be very well a lift they are using in competition. I don't know. All I said is that you really don't need time to come up with this one since it's not such a new lift. Anyway, I do hope I'll not see their old curve and rotational lifts anymore because I didn't like those lifts at all.

:agree:
I don't know why almost everyone seemed to like it so much during last season.

The lift looks nice, but most importantly the look happy  Am I wrong or does Ruslan look like he spent a loooot of time in the gym? Anyway, can`t wait until Saturday. I hope they will rock their SD :p

EDIT: We reached over 5,000 posts! Wow, we surely are talkative in here

I think it was because they were very quick in rotation, very consistent, and the change of positions was smooth.

Anyway, y'all are sounding very negative??? Or is that just me? :\

I thought their rotational lift was nice, although if they keep it I'd like to see it modified with new positions. But it was fast and smooth and looked easy.

Well considering how many years the Shibs, W/P, D/W and many top teams kept their lifts I wouldn't hold it against them if they keep some of their lifts. The new rules however call for difficult entries and exits to get higher levels so either we'll see brand new or suitably modified lifts from last year. In the end it could also a combination of these two expectations. What I hope to see however are smooth elements,GOE is very important this season especially for the SD.
