Liza was at Russian Cup final today with some other reserve team skaters. I would hate to see her fade into irrelevance, she was so talented from such a young age. And today she proved that despite the strong competition in Russia, she is not ready to give up. She's in 5th with 66.39 after the short. Here's to a good performance in the free!

What a wonderful Russian Nationals for Liza especially getting to skate in the final group with phenoms.

Liza is also showing that she not only has found the right coach but you can still develop and get better at age 18 in Russian Ladies skating. She needs to be an example for the other girls who probably feel like their careers are over at 18 or 19.

She is just wonderful to watch. Poetry in motion. I only wish her scores were higher.
