Entries List? | Golden Skate

Entries List?

Entries are usually posted 2-3 weeks before the start of the competition.

Jr. Worlds entries were posted on February 6, about 2 1/2 weeks before the first practice sessions are due to start.

So the Worlds entries will probably be up during the Jr. World competition, the last week of February.

I do have a partial list of entries that I have found from skaters official sites and official skating federations websites from around the world. I can post it if there is interest and then maybe other people will have other people that I don't know of.

That'd be great!

For Russia:

Pairs:
1. Mukhortova/Trankov
2. Kawaguchi/Smirnov

Dance:
1. Domnina/Shabalin
2. Khohlova/Novitcki
3. Not decided yet. The RF will decide between Bobrova/Soloviev and Rubleva/Shefer later.

Man: Sergei Voronov

Ladies: Not decided either. Doronina seems to be the best option, anyway.

Arn't Pechalat/Bourzat compeating for france in ice dance? France does have 2 spots right?

France, yes does have two spots, I just have not been able to find their entire team........I am sure that they are competiting at worlds, I just haven't been able to find comfirmation anywhere.

Fabian Bourzat was due to have surgery on his knee immediately after Europeans. I think his participation in Worlds depends on how quickly he recovers.

Fabian had the sugery after the grand prix final. Europeans was dependant on his recovery but obviously it went as planned!

Ok, I have another quick question. Can you determine the entries list from the current World Rankings? Or are there different factors that decide the list?

World Rankings have nothing to do with who goes to Worlds. Each country has its own Nationals, and most use that to select its representative at Worlds. Some countries use Nationals plus placement at international competitions as an additional criteria.
