For me. the only clear bets are the ladies' top three ( all Russian), Javi winning the gold, and top three Russian pairs. We haven't seen Papadakis/Cizeron at all this season and neither have the judges, so dance is a toss up to me. Are Sinitsina/Katsalapov the pair that has those low and deep twizzles? If I have the correct pair, I think they may take silver, if not gold. The Europeans are always fun to watch because there are so many 'bless their hearts' performances! But Anna P. needs to concentrate more or else there will be no Russian ladies' sweep!

Erm, just in case you haven't spotted the news, the "Long haired handsome guy" will not be at Europeans. :disapp: His delicate-looking Japanese partner has hurt herself, and they will be out for the rest of the season.

Incidentally, I do find the way you have worded your predictions really funny! And it was clever the way you put in the female partner's name in full to make sure that it is valid for the formula.

However, why waste points by only predicting on the podium positions? It is the Top 5 that are being scored, so you should at least make predictions on the Top 6 or 7 (to allow for late withdrawals).

Oh, and I love Anna Pogo, but with the way this season has been going, I agree with you! She WILL probably be flying into something (the ice, the boards...) at least once per routine.

But in my opinion, Europeans will be their first real completion and true test. I just hope that the judges don't score them strictly on Aliona's reputation. I'm really hoping for Volosozhar/Trankov to come back strong but S/M could pose a real threat. Not to mention Stolbova/Klimov, who are on fire right now! Pairs is so exciting right now!!

As this is S/M's first major competition, I'm certainly not counting on S/M to win, even though my favorite is Aliona. She hasn't been landing the throws on one foot consistently, and there will naturally be jitters...if V/T or S/K make a costly mistake, though, the door's open for S/M. I'm mostly torn on whether to put V/T or S/K as no. 1 on predictions... V/T have a really high scoring potential, but S/K look ready and confident going by their gpf performance. It'll depend on how the 4sal goes, I guess.
